Staff is always nice and helpful, but the follow through leaves a lot to be desired.I took my Tag Huer quartz watch into James Free in Montgomery to have the battery replaced as the watch indicated the battery was wearing out. I've used them before and wasn't surprised when I received the estimate and was quoted a 5-6 week turnaround as it had to be sent to their Dayton store. At 6 weeks, I hadn't heard back from them so called and was informed that the watch needed a tune up service and hadn't been worked on yet as they hadn't received authorization for the additional work/cost. Additionally, I was looking at an additional 8-10 weeks to have the work performed. The company never attempted to contact me with this update and I basically wasted 6 weeks during which the watch could have been getting serviced. I'd likely still be waiting for info had I not called.Somehow the watch happened to still be at the Montgomery location and I went and retrieved it. Unsurprisingly, when I arrived I was informed they had just received the assessment that the watch needed the additional work within the last few days as well as an apology with the caveat they couldn't control how long the assessment took.I'll be taking my watch to one of the other fine jewelers in town for future service.

Sophia gave me exquisite service! I took my significant others chain in to be repaired, and she walked me through it all. It was very easy and the repair was finished way sooner than I anticipated

My husband called yesterday to ask if they fix moissanite rings and they said yes and to come in for a quote. He makes the trip over there today for them to say that they do not work on them. This is fine that they do not however they shouldn’t have said that they did. I assume there was some kind of misinformation. Wasted trip and time, it is frustrating.

I had an unfortunate mishap where my Breitling watch went through the washing machine. Naturally, I was devastated. I brought it to James Free Jewelers (where I originally bought the watch), and Anna was a lifesaver! Not only is she incredibly professional, but the entire service process was seamless and stress-free. The price for the service was reasonable, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any jewelry or watch needs.
