Nice place, but this is our last year for the Halloween campout. Rates have gotten way out of control, $450 for 3 nights plus a $9 a day per person occupancy fee.

If you haven’t been to this park, you are missing out. They have beautiful cabins! We have traveled all over and it is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Everything is clean and well maintained. The management and staff are extremely friendly, they know so many of their guests by name. They have tons of engaging activities scheduled on the weekends. It makes for a great family retreat. 10/10!

New owners have unfortunately out priced the park and turned it into a ghost town. We have been camping here in the summer for 10 years with our shooting sports team. 2-3 competitions/weekends per year 4-8 campsites each time UNTIL the new owners increased the price to 140$ per night with a per person per day resort fee. This is not camping rates this is hotel pricing where they provide breakfast and clean up after us!!! We also have been coming for the Halloween “Octoberfest” themed weekend for the last 4 years. We would book the next year on our way out because they sold out the entire campground early. We go all out, decorating the site, partaking in all the kids activities and passing out candy despite the increased cost because it was always so much fun when the campground was completely full and tons of kids come to our site to trick or treat and enjoy all of our inflatables and decorations. We won the campsite contest the last two years and we don’t even have young children we just enjoyed doing to for our friends children and all the 100’s of children in the park. UNTIL this year. We left yesterday and unfortunately will not be back. There were a total of 32 campers in the entire park!!! Less than 100 kids trick or treating despite their website advising to prepare for 4-500 kids!!! We always stay over on Sunday and last year the manager told us to wait till we arrive to add on Sunday to get a much cheaper rate when we complained about the price hike last October. This weekend each of us inquired about the price to add on Sunday the first site was quoted 130$, the second was quoted 115$ and the third was quoted 230$. The website shows the sites 89-94$ depending on which site you choose. We spoke to multiple people including the manager and ended up being charged 115$ for a Sunday night! We were told they would rather have zero dollars than reduce the rate for our 3 sites. There were only 3 other campers in the whole park that night. They have done some very nice upgrades and are continuing to do more they were working all weekend (cutting down lots of trees) and we were told they were adding 100 more sites! I feel the future of this campground may be in jeopardy and we are sad but just cannot justify the price and all of the work we do to decorate our site for the kids when there aren’t many kids to enjoy it!

We really love the campsites and camp grounds, but unfortunately they nickel and dime so much. On top of paying nightly fees, per person fees, activity fees, it adds up to be a lot more. I love that they are upgrading the campground, but you're pockets will definitely feel it.

We have been coming here for the Halloween camp out for years. We always loved it before, but the price hikes this year were insane and it seems not much was included for that either. We Paid $450 to camp in our camper thurs-sun. We paid another $250 for a golf cart for 2 days. There was hardly anyone there, when usually the whole place is packed. I believe it is due to the huge price increases they have done for everything. Unfortunately I think this will be our last year coming here.

We just visited this campground for the first time and were so impressed! The cabin was clean and the perfect size for our family with a separate bedroom and bunk bed for kids. Our daughter loved all the activities- especially the silent disco! The pool and lake were so fun and the staff was top notch. We’ll definitely be back!

The wibit course was great. Staff was attentive and friendly. You can tell the owners, who are fairly new, really care about the property. They are putting a ton of effort into expanding, modernizing and making it a great place for families. Camper spots were good size, and clean. Water slide was fun as well as plenty of activities. Showers were clean and comfortable. We would reccomend and would consider going back.

We had a mini vacation this past weekend and my girls had a blast. The staff was great! Our cabin was perfect with bunk beds for the girls and I had my own room with Queen size bed. I love that it was Christmas in July we did Hay rides, Glow rides, water wars, foam party, seeing Mr and Mr Claus and decorating cookies but these girls were mainly on the water all day playing on the obstacle courses.

We came for July 1-10. We loved every day of it. The entire staff was awesome. There are constantly events and things to do. And the "bears" appear for a lot of them. My wife, daughter, son and I loved it. As well as some of the extended family that we had camping with us. The bouncing pillow was fun. The crafts were fun. The lake was awesome. The pools were nice. The foam pit was very cool. And lastly the two manager/owners were amazing. You can tell they care. They show up for glitter tattoos, fry up the donuts, and knew our names and when my daughters birthday was by the time the trip ended. I can't say enough about how impressed we are by all the people that make this location as special as it is. (And it looks like they are in the middle of adding a brand new pool.) Love it. Can't recommend enough.

5 stars was not high enough. The park was so well kept and our tent site was so perfect overlooking a beautiful ravine. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was better than my own. Loved the beach, pool, creek area, and having activities to do every hour. I never went to any camp growing up and I felt like a kid again, only now i was enjoying with the grandkids. Loved riding around on the golf cart as well. The icecream at the little stand in front of ranger station was so good, we had a cone every night. We didn't want to leave and will be booking again in January. Next year and probably later in this summer, the new food truck will be open and a nice big swimming pool. Also forgot how great the waterslide was. No steep stairs to get back up. Worth every penny to stay there. Forgot to mention the great beach area and obstacle course in the middle of the lake. Kids had the best time doing that too. Just cant praise it enough.

We just spent the weekend at Jellystone in Mt Gilead. We had stayed here a few years ago and loved it. The place was still enjoyable, but we were nickel and dimed to death. The campsite was already pretty pricey, and then we had to pay $9 per person per day in addition to that, and then $5 to rent a lifejacket per day! The last time we were there the lifejackets were hanging on a rack and you just grabbed one (they are required on the lake, and for good reason). It was tedious getting the life jackets because they had to write the serial number for each one down, but when we returned them they didnt even ask for our site number. When I asked the clerk to make sure it was documented that we returned them, she just said dont worry about it and wouldnt even document a thing. They are building a new pool. I thought it would be ready when we reserved our trip, because it was on the park map. But it was still not opened. The new foam pit was dirty, not like the ones in other Jellystone parks. The finale was that I scheduled a golf cart for one day, but wanted to switch the times and they would not allow me. I was just frustrated at all the extra costs and the lack of cooperation.

If you’re looking for a great place to stay to camp, this is it! Kaycee and Jodie are STELLAR and keep the place looking really nice with TONS of amenities. The activities that happen every hour are fun and engaging. Very pet friendly. Loved quiet time. Golf carts are clutch and the limo cart accommodated our family well.Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into your park!

This Jellystone Park is by far the best, I have been to! We have been to several, even in other states and nothing compares. There is something for everyone to do! Most definitely geared towards kids, activities on the hour Monday thru Sunday, not just on the weekends, like a lot of campgrounds. Sites are very large, we have a 42ft camper and had a lot of room. Sites are well maintained, grass mowed in all areas. They do have construction for a new Resort Pool and Lots of New Cabins-Coming Soon. This construction does not hinder your stay, however. They have a Dual Pool, Large Lake for Fishing and separate portion for Swimming and Wibit's. Must Add the Beach is very clean sand, Cabana's for your shade (First come/First Serve) Paddle boats, Jump Pad, Dog Park, several playgrounds, Gaga Ball and Sand Box. Bears are seen several times a day! The Cabins are very clean! Owners and Managment have made this park part of their family and treat it as such. They take such pride in the maintaining of the grounds and in the hiring of their staff. We had no complaints during our visit. Will visit again soon! Happy Camping!
