The Mercantile was the perfect wedding venue. My husband and I had our wedding here in September of 2025 and it was the perfect day. Barb and her team were amazing! Special shoutout to Amanda who literally would not let me touch a thing and was on top of everything. The venue itself is eclectic and has tons of character. We called it a hidden gem! From start to finish we had the best experience and the perfect wedding day!

An absolute dream venue and team!!! Every guest complimented on how unique, cute, and cozy this venue was. Barb took care of everything from the beginning to the end, making sure we got valuables back that we accidentally left behind. The entire day was absolutely flawless and if there was an issue we didn't know about it. Wonderful staff and communication throughout the entire process!! Bar is right next to the dance floor to keep the party going! We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else. Thank you Barb & Staff!!

This venue is absolutely beautiful and is a hidden gem. Tucked away in Mount Sterling it's a little slice of paradise. Barb, the owner, was incredibly helpful and amazing during the planning process. They worked diligently to meet our needs and she went above and beyond! When the big day came, the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. They had to endure high heat and humidity the whole day, but they certainly didn't act like it was a problem. All the vendors that they recommended were so professional and amazing as well. I can't say enough good things about this venue, and I will say that if you have an event or wedding there, you will Not be disappointed!

Beautiful is the only way to describe The Mercantile! I cannot say enough about how this venue exceeded our expectations. Barb and Dan made every step of our planning process easy and personal to our tastes. The result was magical. Every guest commented on how beautiful The Mercantile was and how it fit our personalities!
The set-up made it so easy to visit and relax with every guest. Our vision was a laid back, fun day for us, as well as our guests. The Mercantile definitely hit the mark. We had a beautiful wedding in the grass, and the reception that followed was beyond our dreams. There were yard games for every age, dancing, and s'mores at the fire pits!
The Mercantile staff took all the stress out of planning the perfect wedding and a great time was had by all!

This is by far the best venue you could possibly reserve. They are WELL worth the investment. They are great at communicating and organized throughout the entire process. We had 2 consulting meetings after booking before the "big day". They also have a list of recommended vendors that they've worked with in the past (affordable and fantastic) To top it all off they are perfect on the wedding day! They have an extensive staff and day of coordinators to make the day absolutely perfect. I would recommended them again and again. All of our guests noticed how unique, clean and organized the venue was.

A really nice clean area. We just attended my Cousin's Wedding there Sunday, Sept 25th, 2022. The food that was caterers was delicious. The reception area was really spacious and well lit. The restrooms were very clean.

We were at the Mercantile just recently for a wedding. The venue is gorgeous! A few thing's I would like to see upgrades as we will be back for another wedding in 2023. The Barn for the reception does not have A/C and only has 4 fans. It would be nice to have A/C or Mini splits for air flow. There is no Cross breeze. There is also no Speakers in the Barn for the reception as well, therefore you can't hear the speeches or music with everyone talking. The DJ stay's under the leantoo where the dancing takes place. As well as party ends at 10 Sharp. But all in all, if you are planning a wedding the area it is beautiful. Lot's of room in the outside area. Decorations are Gorgeous. Plenty of seating for sure as well. I know from a family member that has been there 3 time's already that they do continue to upgrade the venue!

I had the honor of being a guest attending a wedding here and let me say!! This venue is absolutely STUNNING, GORGEOUS and BRILLIANTLY laid out to make it easy for the bride and groom to have no worries at all on their big day! The staff was extremely attentive to the wedding party and guests. The decor was simple but elegant in the most perfect way! If you're planning a wedding. The Mercantile needs to be your venue! I know it will be mine one day! 5 stars ?
