What a great store! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Courteous and do not try to “upsell” on their inventory. I can’t believe someone left a bad review here because they were asked by the staff if they needed any help a few times. 😆
That’s what makes this store exceptional and a stand-out; that’s why people go here. If you want no assistance and to feel like you’re a burden, by all means, go to Lowes. If you want individual attention to help with a problem you may be having, go here. Nice store and awesome people.

You don't need to ask a customer if they need help every 30 seconds. Sometimes a customer just wants to shop in peace. I left after the third time and won't be back.

Sent my wife to get some washers only for her to be given the wrong washers. I went to return them only to be turned away because I didn't have the card. I ended up buying the correct washers at lowes for half the price and returned with my wife's card to return the ones she bought. They price checked the washers like I was trying to cheat them (they were bought and attempted to be returned within an hour). I usually try to shop local but will never be back. Horrible customer service.

These folks are the best in customer service! There is no walking around searching for what you need; they walk you to it!

Very helpful staff to find what you want quickly. Often prices are better than Lowe's or others. Just had keys made at Lowe's at double the $ at smith's & had to go back even because it was done incorrectly. Try GR Smith's 1st.

GR Smith is the best hardware in town. They have the stuff you need! They offer great service with someone meeting you soon after you get in the door to help you. Try hey have the UPS pickup there for you Amazon returns.

I can't believe I came there for the first time today! It's a great place and has everything I need. We got a liquid plumber thingy that should solve out problem. The staff is wonderful and willing to help. I decided to walk around to see what else they have and 3 associates in 3 different aisles asked me if I need help finding anything. I appreciate that because when it comes to stuff they sell I definitely need help haha. Also, when they learned it's my first time there they prompted me to take a picture with Sasquatch hehe. Perfection.

Wonderful staff helped me to get just what I needed, they even refunded me the part I bought originally because it didn't fit. If you need any kind of specific part, i see no reason to go anywhere else!

Love this store, a genuine full service hardware experience. A bit bittersweet as it is a reminder of how bad other stores have gotten in terms of customer service and having just what you need instead of a sea of excess.

GR Smith is simply one of the most outstanding small town hardware stores in the business. In an age when everything is going supersized GR Smith is a refreshing staple. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable, down home service you just can’t get at the big, impersonal stores with many inexperienced new hires who are of little help. It is worth every effort to keep such local businesses patronized
