We just adopted 2 gorgeous kittens here. Throughout our lives we've adopted many animals from many rescues, and the service and care at this humane society is top notch. We went through some effort to fill out an application, and the records they kept for these cats was great. I certainly recommend them if you're looking to rescue a cat from them.

I don’t know what I would do without the folks at KCHS-Cats. On more than one occasion they have gone above and beyond what others would have to help me. GIANT shout out to Kelly and Dr Vanessa from “the little pooper”!! Please support and donate so they can continue to do great work helping kitties in your neighborhood.

The newly remodeled shelter is so nice. They can still use our donations and support to keep the cat population in check.

I Foster kittens and put on the annual sale for the shelter. The animals in their care receive great vet care and socialization. They work hard to match the right people with the right animals and do so funded by donations only.

We dropped 2 feral felines off for the TNR program. Thank you! One week later, there in their forest thriving...Hopefully they will find a forever home soon! That's my dream for them. (I have to feed and tend them daily)

The staff here are incredibly kind despite being stressed and understaffed. I do not know what I would do without their vaccine clinic. We took our puppies to their first vaccine appointments at a vet and they charged $400 a dog. I am sure there are vets that maybe do it cheaper than that, but there are none that offer them for $40. These people care about animals and they care about their community.

My experience with the Knox County Humane Society was 110% amazing! The staff was super kind, patient, and very informative. I have grown up around cats, but this was my first time owning my own cats as an adult. I was interested in the kitten they had by the name of Fifi, but when arriving was informed that she was very bonded with her sister Femi. If the staff tells you that they are a bonded pair and they need to stay together, listen to them! The bonded siblings have been through alot together, and have relied on one another for comfort. With all of that being said, anyone who is looking to add a kitty to their home, I strongly recommend using the Knox County Humane society.

We adopted our sweet boy Winston a couple of months ago from Knox County Humane Society. We went originally to look at a kitten, but found Winston who was approximately a year old. He’s been an amazing addition to our family. Kelly was so helpful and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for bringing this sweet guy into our home. Kelly and Jerry Whittington.

This shelter is amazing. I have 6 cats and I've brought them all here to get spayed/neutered. Their prices are very affordable. I've taken a lot of strays to them too and they have all been adopted out. They do an amazing job caring for the animals! The facility is clean and you can tell the cats are well loved and taken care of.

They are currently under some construction to allow them to rescue more cats successfully. Very clean, large areas for cats. The manager, Kelli, is attentive to all the cats needs. All cats and kittens receive the best of care. The veterinarian, Elaine, is caring and watches over their health constantly. They are careful to make sure every person wanting to adopt will firstly be a good home and caretaker of the cat or kitten they want to adopt and is best matched to the cat, or kitten they choose. The last thing I will say is that I am a volunteer at the shelter and I see all this firsthand.

I appreciate this place and the staff so much. They have been wonderful with our cats and with our sweet dog who recently had to be euthanized. The staff and the vet were so kind. I feel like this place makes it possible for those who love their pets to get them the care that they need to keep them healthy at a cost that is so much more manageable for so many. Thank you Knox County Humane Society for the work you do to help pets and their owners in this community.

I adopted a beautiful senior kitty (9 years old), she is so precious!! When I went to meet this kitty the staff took me in a room and brought the kitty to me. We were able to spend a lot of time together to see if we were a fit. My 20 yr old kitty had passed a couple of weeks and I was missing her so much. I knew I wanted another one. The Knox County Humane Society gave me as much time as I needed to get to know my new kitty. She rubbed her face on my boots, then my arm. She climbed up on my lap and I knew she was going home with me!!! I’ve only had her a few days, and I am enjoying her immensely!! Thank you KCHS!!!!

I recently adopted three kittens and was impressed especially by Kelly(the purple hair girl) and her professionalism, knowledge and how informative she was. The clinic was very clean and the staff were very accommodating. The kittens were very healthy and I felt good adopting from them and I could tell they truly care about the animals and ensure that they get good homes and are well matched with their adoptees to ensure a good fit for a forever home. Some ppl feel that the adoption application is lengthy and asks to much but, I feel like it was a very rewarding experience! I give 5 stars all the way around!

I am from Columbus and I drove all the way down here to adopt TWO kittens. They were up to date with all shots, microchipped and spayed. Before I left they received one more shot each and had their nails trimmed.I came ready with my cash to adopt them both for ONLY $136 however some KIND generous person had paid the adoption fee!A wonderful place! Absolutely worth the drive!

My daughter and her family adopted this adorable kitty over a year ago (maybe longer) from this facility. Her name is Ida. Her original name from there. They love her so much. They live in Granville, Ohio.
