We visit this place religiously every fall. It's just that wonderful a place. The only part that sucks is there is a 50mph highway right before that iconic bridge you have to cross so watch out! Be careful with kids. There is a reduced visibility corner on the roadway and a reduced visibility hill going in the opposite direction.

I always enjoy a nice flat bike ride on this trail. A wonderful ride.

I usually go and test trails before I take my wife out on it. I found out that this trail is very friendly for beginners and veterans. She will be fine. Lot's of shaded areas.

My favorite bike trail. Wide and smooth. Be careful on the wood deck bridges they can be slick if wet or damp.

This trail was a little piece of magic. Just a throw while we live in Columbus. We had no idea such a beautiful trail existed close by in Ohio.

My friends and I have visited this trail several times in the last month. Each time, we've ridden our bikes for many miles on the paved trail. Every trip is special because there are many different things to observe while on the trail. There is plenty of shade most of the way along the river and lots of cool places to stop and take amazing photos. If you like trains, there is an engine and a few rail cars to explore near Kenyon College. There are plenty of grassy spots to stop and enjoy a quick rest or places to bring the family to enjoy an afternoon in the open air. I would definitely recommend this area for outdoor fun.

Most scenic trail I have done. I parked in a parking lot in mount vernon. Went left from parking lot. Train you can climb on about 4 miles out. Another 5 miles (9 total) is the tunnel built mid 1800s.

The trial is blacktop and suitable for walking and biking. Plenty of seats and restrooms. Very popular even midweek.
Restrooms: Clean.
Dog-friendliness: Dog on a leash.
Picnic area: Seats, picnic tables and shelters at several locations.

I love the gap trail. I walk there and started running there. There's a porta potty - just fyi. Might come in handy. No sanitizer though
Restrooms: There's a porta pottie which is clean and functional but with no hand sanitizer
