Paragraphs Bookstore is a quaint, cozy, and lovely local bookshop in downtown Mount Vernon. It is an inviting, old-fashioned store with a great selection of books for all ages, including the newest titles. The staff is extremely kind, thoughtful, friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and accommodating. The atmosphere is very inviting, offering whimsical greeting cards and other cool things alongside books. This wonderful addition to the town is a highly recommended spot for sightseeing, with helpful employees willing to assist in finding specific items.
I have been going to this shop since I was a teenager, visiting my grandmother every summer. I'm so glad they are still around to serve the bookish needs of Mt. Vernon. Lois Hansen (no longer working the shop, but still hosting book clubs) is who inspired me to open my shop. Thank you for books, reading, and memories 🥰!

We were in the area and looking for a gift for a kiddo. This place is adorable and everything I love about small bookstores. Will definitely be making trips back!
