I got a pleco yesterday around 3. We came home and put him into the tank correctly like you are suppose to and he died and his belly was very tiny meaning he wasn’t getting the FOOD he needed. This store is great! I have to say I had driven past it a few times... the storefront branding made me think it was a discount pet store. But i got on google maps and saw an owner's cat pawing at an aquarium lol and aisles of dog stuff! They have literally everything you might need compared to chain pets stores.... and yes, the internet has more options.. technically.. but this store brings the best of internet options that have already been weeded through! For example, need a dog ramp? This store actually has one! Looking for new treats for your senior dog that are fun and exciting? This store actually has them! The staff are super friendly too!! I will probably be back again this week lol.

Never had good experiences with this pet store. Everytime I come in the store, animals are not in proper enclosures. Have gotten beta fish there before and the men who scooped them out were aggressive, they later died of stress. I have also bought hermit crabs off of them and they died months later due to ppds. Their hermit crab tank is not proper. There is pebbles as the substrate. No mix of sand and dirt. No heat no food or extra shells for them to switch into.There was absolutely no humidity in the tank. I got hermit crabs from PetCo down the street around the same time I got some from 'WeLovePets' and they have survived almost a year compared to the two I got at 'WeLoVePets' who died months later! I do not think this pet store knows how to properly take care of animals. I go to PetCo up the street for my pet needs etc! They really don't sell much good things for the pets. Their selection of items aren't that good either. I wouldn't recommend going here if you want a alive animal to take home. Their selection of items and food for pets are not animal safe. They may say health beneficial on the packages but they will do nothing but harm the health of the animals.Not to mention the customer service is horrible! I've had to stand around 30 minutes waiting for someone to come over and help me with an animal, while they just sit on their butts or ignore customers. Their service is not good at all. Don't waste your time there!! Also on another note whenever I have bought an animal off of them they are swift and rude when grabbing them they threw my hermit crab into a small worm box and didn't even give me a care sheet or ask if I knew how to care for them? PetCo asked me if I knew how to care for them and even signed me up for an educational and life warranty! DONT SHOP THERE

Part of our four paw family requires sensitive stomach food. I haven't been in the store in several months. We had been getting the food at another store (not the new one in Mt. Vernon)... Needing some fish food I thought I would stop by and also see if they had the speciality food.. They did and reasonably priced. Talking with the clerk I mentioned how difficult it can be to find and was told they could just order it for me. Went in today to get it... Great service and will be back to order it regularly. Thanks to the great staff!

We Luv Pets is the pet store I most often choose. The staff is polite and helpful and they usually have what I need in stock. The prices are affordable and the animals are well treated.I also like the in-house grooming done by Candise Martin. She did an excellent job on my pup, Colter and I recommend her services!
