Wolf Run Regional Park is a nice park with well maintained trails that are moderate to difficult, featuring mostly smooth paths where the inclines are the biggest challenge. The trails offer scenic views of the surrounding area, though at one outlook the trees have grown too tall. The paths are full of lush greenery, handsome trees, and provide opportunities to spot wildlife, including a pond full of frogs and insects. There are roughly 10 miles of trails, including a Story Book trail and an educational recycle trail, with some trails being well labeled and well marked, though some signs could be better. The park is very quiet in the morning and features both shaded and open areas. Amenities include a large parking area and a portable restroom, which is a clean port-a-potty. There is a picnic area with shaded picnic tables and trash cans, including a covered area with large tables. The park also has a fully fenced-in dog park with wooded areas, tables, and chairs, making it a great place for dogs to run and play safely. It is connected to Knox Woods State Nature Preserve.
