Went with my wife and a friend. We went right at open on a Saturday night. We didn’t reserve a table (our fault), and kindly asked if we could just wait or make a later reservation. The hostess asked if we would mind sitting at the bar, we told her sure. She went and asked the bartender if it was ok and from the look and body language the bartender gave it absolutely was not ok for us to sit at the bar. The hostess lead us to the bar and dropped us off. A few minutes later the bartender came and asked if what we wanted to drink (zero introduction), bartender was visibly upset my wife wasn’t sure what to order for a drink. She asked if my wife needed more time and my wife said yes. Bartender promptly made the two drinks and then ten minutes later came back and said “are you ready to order your drink now?” Wife orders and we tell her we are ready to order our food. Ordered our entrees and waited. Now we are in zero hurry to eat or anything. We are food service workers ourselves and understand all the ins and outs of the business. The wait for the food was quite some time. For the price of items I would have expected stuff to be made from scratch. Like the pasta? I mean if your gonna charge $28 for spaghetti and meatballs you should maybe make the pasta in house. I’m not gonna knock the food too much but the prices you pay absolutely do not reflect what you receive. Our bill for two entrees and one alcoholic beverage and tip was $85. No salad, no appetizer, no free bread for the table or anything. Regardless it’s not bad but it ain’t great. The bartender might want to reconsider a career change or just fake it and smile instead of being rude. She literally looked us up and down when the hostess asked if we could sit. Anyway food was 3/5 too expensive for what you get. Bartender/server was rude and shouldn’t be around any student learning her bad habits. Wish I could give a name but we never saw a name tag.

Beautiful historic and classic place to eat. Wonderful service and food was plated well and was visually pleasing and taste was amazing. Overall we would dine here again.

Came here for our 10 year anniversary and didn't have the best experience. My wife's food overall was salty, she had ordered a rare steak (steak was medium at most) and shrimp scampi with fries. About halfway through the steak my wife had found bits of plastic in her melted butter. I ordered the fish and chips and my fries were cold and my fish was so battered it looked like a fish corndog with a little bit of raw batter inside. We were also the first ones inside and the first to order. The interior was nice with candles on the tables and lowlights. Our server was kind and answered any question we had.

We ate here for a belated anniversary dinner. Both of us thought the food was simply amazing. Unpretentious, flavorful, and decent portions.I had the pork chop with a corn and mushroom cream sauce, sweet potato croquettes, and grilled veggies, while my wife had linguini alfredo and we shared a salad. It was a Friday night and the musician was a very talented jazz guitarist. For a last minute call, we were able to get in.We will be back. I promise, we *will* be back!

Great meal. Had the New York strip. Tender and cook to perfection. Also the cheesecake was superb. Also had a Woodford Reserve old fashioned that was spot on. Kelcie did a super job.

The menu was very modern and diverse. The plating was very aesthetic and the food was well prepared and very balanced in flavors and seasoning. The server was positive, attentive, and professional.

Highly recommend the slab salad. Had the red snapper that was a bit chewy, but the flavor was good. Service was excellent and Saturday singer was very nice and not too loud for conversation. Family member said the strip steak was excellent.

We arived early for our reservation and were seated promptly. My wife ordered the bang chicken and it was excellent. I wanted to order something different and asked our waitress for her opinion of three menu items I was considering. She recommended the Salmon but described a preferred way than described on the menu that it could be prepared. It was soy sesame that was delicious and melt in your mouth accompanied by the rice. Every meal we have had at Rapsody has been excellent!

This is a student cooking lab and the food is divine. Make reservations; this will make seating smoother. We went on Wednesday and enjoyed the live music. Worth visiting if you love fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

This place is such a cozy spot! We enjoyed a fabulous dinner here after our graduation from OU. The food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the live Christmas jazz music were all incredible! Reservations are recommended so plan ahead, you won’t regret it!

Honestly, this student run establishment offers some of the most delicious food we have ever had in and around Athens. The pricing is very fair, cocktails are creative and plentiful and the attentive service and the vintage bricked ambiance of Nelsonville in general makes for a very pleasant evening. Worth the drive. Exceptional.

We LOVED the food. We were also fortunate enough to eat while Big Swing was performing and, while I usually have a hard time hearing over live music, it added to the ambience and wasn't too loud. The food was incredible between appetizers, entrees and dessert, we throughly enjoyed our meal. The service was a little slow, but the food was excellent enough to make up for it completely. Especially knowing it was all made by hand—talk about worth it.

This place is a true gem - our waitress Emmie was wonderful and made our night. The food and atmosphere were a perfect treat for a Friday night in Nelsonville. The bang bang shrimp, scallops with lime couscous, the white truffle risotto with shrimp were delightful. They support the local Hocking Hills culinary program as well as local farm to table initiatives.

The seared scallops were very well prepared, but I did not care for the orange glaze flavor, the sides were very well prepared and full of flavor. The dessert of Crème brûlée was prepared well and full of flavor, the overall experience was wonderful.
