Love BJ's and the gas is so much lower being a member. The membership is so affordable.

The price of gas can't be beat. The membership is definitely worth it just for gas alone. And the store is very closely matched with Costco in price and offers on products

I recently joined under the standard membership because there was an online discount (from $55 to only $20 for 1yr, and you can add 1 household member for free). Below are the pros and cons after my first visit to the New Albany location. Pros: -Quite possibly one of the best and largest cookies in Columbus (no, seriously) and it was only $1.50 for a cookie and a fountain drink special. -very clean store with friendly greeters and staff at the service desk -not too crowded (compared to Costco, I could actually breathe) -a great meat and deli section with lots of cuts and variety of products -BJs coupons can be combined with any manufacturer coupons -plenty of parking -membership price is great and ability to add another member for free Cons: -deals are not quite as good as Costco on most sale items/specials that were advertised -fewer brands offered overall than Costco (except deli/meat area) -no seating for the snack bar -small electronics section

The pumps run terribly slow, leave you standing there for far too long, especially in bad weather. Only 50% of the time do I get a receipt, and when I have to go ask an attendant for one, usually they are rude. Not sure the price is worth the aggravation

BJs seems more like a wannabe, but may neverbe kind of place. Quanity, and more importantly, Quality are LACKING in most depts. For example, The eyeglass dept. promotes "name brand frames", not one of which name was recognizable. Same for the clothing, most brands are unfamiliar and priced higher than other wholesalers. There is the recognizable $4.99 whole chicken but smaller in size. They do have deli and "event planning" depts. which can be seen as a plus. A really good deal is the $55 membership fee which includes a CREDIT OF $40 ON FIRST PURCHASE (time may be limited). Also the gas here is as cheap as you will find, like another wholesale place. Overall, 2.5 stars seems appropriate for this new to the area warehouse wholesale place. I would bet the best reason to come here instead of other warehouse stores is the location maybe closer for some.

I tried to buy tires at this store after they had sent multiple ads to me both regular mail and email. I called and the service rep went through the tire options, and I picked the one I liked and was given a price. He said they had the tires in stock, and I could come over there that day, but I said I would come the next day. When I went the next day, I was told rudely that I had to have an appointment to have tires put on my car and I had been given the wrong information. I was leaving town for four days so I said I would call and make an appointment when I got back in town. I did call and make an appointment and the service rep checked to make sure they had the tires I wanted. He went and looked and said he pulled the tires and would put them in my name. When I called the morning of the appointment to confirm my appointment, they couldn't find my reservation, so I was booked again for the next day and again I was put on hold and he went and checked to make sure the tires were in stock, and he came back on the phone and said they were still available. The next morning, I got a call and was told that the tires there were for somebody else, and I needed to order and pay for the tires before I would be given an installation appointment. When I told him the issues that I was having he told me that he was the tire manager, and the other BJS tire employees didn't know BJS tire policies and that I would need to come and pay for the tires before they would order them. I had already wasted so much time on them I decided to check elsewhere for tires. I would not recommend Using this location for purchasing tires.

Growing up in RI my parents had a BJ's membership and a year ago, when I saw one was being built in New Albany, I was so excited! My husband and I became members as soon as we could. We love the customer service associates at this location - everyone is so helpful and lovely to interact with. The baked items and prepared foods are quite good and the value of the wholesale products are absolutely worth a membership.

A warehouse grocery similar to Costco but a smaller scale. Convenient if you want smaller portions of groceries. Like you can request for smaller cuts of meats. Membership is $55/annually, but this doesn't include their discounted gas, for that you'd have to apply for their Capital One Matercard. I wouldn't give up on my Costco membership for this though.

As far as the wholesale clubs go I was impressed with what BJ's had to offer. BJ's has all the usual trappings of the Big Box Store: Massive new TVs, their own brands of popular products, bakery items, cases of toilet paper and water, cheaper gas then the places across the street.. all yours for an annualized membership fee. One big plus for me was that I didn't have to purchase a month supply of apples or lettuce if I wanted produce, they had smaller portion/quantities available. Priced well, good value. I will admit that the BJ's store brands that I have tried, Berkeley Jensen for non food and Wellsley Farms for food items, have all been good quality and are items I have or will purchase again. For me, it's just up the street so it's easier to get to than other warehouse clubs, but I'm becoming a believer and may not renew my "other" club membership.

Love, love, love BJ's! I have been a member with BJ's since 2019 and was so glad to find this BJ's was about to open right down the street from my new home in New Albany. We buy everything here- water, dog food, frozen items, paper items, and even tires! It's hard to beat the prices, and they have great customer service as well. I recently learned while checking out that you can clip coupons in the BJ's app, and the discounts will automatically apply when you check out. So cool and convenient! We also belong to Costco, but we prefer BJ's. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Much like Sam's and Costco, this is a big wholesale club for members only and this store is closest to my home. The gas station is great and offers lower gas prices than the Sheetz next door. With their credit card, it is even lower. I've shopped a couple of times, and there is a lot to see. I have purchased vitamins and supplements, winter boots, organic peanut butter, and clearance pj's (after Christmas sale). The staff seems to be quite friendly, and the prices are decent. I intend to use their optical dept. as well as check out the auto tires prices in the future. They also offer paper and digital coupons. They do have a lot of organic items, like Costco.
