My wife and I have been here a couple of times and all I can say it's overpriced for what you get. We had the samplers which come with 2 sides. The portions I feel are small and the sides were ok at best. The Mac and cheese and baked beans are nothing fantastic. The whole place has a fast food atmosphere about it but with high prices. Get your own drink, cheap plates, plastic cups, etc. They call your name to come get your tray of food. I think we'll settle for a sit down steak dinner for the same value and get waited on.

My favorite barbeque restaurant in Ohio. The brisket is top notch when they cook it long enough (I like it lean). Everything else is secondary in importance to me...but the sides are quite good. I buy two brisket sandwiches for the drive back to D.C. Makes it a sweet

It was our first time in. I paid 100$ for cold cuts. Everything but the fries were cold. The fries were drenched in oil. Service fast though. Will not be back.

The food was amazing. Mama loved the lolo sandwhich just the way it came. The biggest and picky eater got the pick 2 brisket with sausage collard greens was on point, baked beans was a big hit all the way around. Middle kid got the wings not alot of flavor but tried all the sauces. Little non eater got the mac n cheese with applesauce. 5 stars from us all $60 dinner.Kid-friendliness: 5.99 dont break the bank.

The food here is really good and fresh. They serve the food up fast by the time you get your drink it's usually ready. I definitely recommend the brisket.

As soon as I walked in and smelled the smoke, I knew I was gonna have some good barbecue. The staff were all super friendly and helped us figure out what to get (we ended up with the city sampler). All the meats were super tender, and each sauce paired well with at least one thing. The banana pudding and green beans were some of the best I've ever had. Overall, just a great atmosphere and experience. Wish I lived closer to one.

Food is usually good. Beware of their fries... they like to take take them from under the heat light and throw them back in the oil. Yuk!

Good BBQ...City Barbeque is always good. The store has a southern BBQ joint feel and atmosphere. Being a counter service restaurant limits your exposure to the service. The only issue is if you get there late, they are out of about everything. What they had left made a delicious pulled pork and sausage sandwich with baked beans. It is worthy of stopping by.

We've been eating here since it opened. The baked beans are phenomenal and I always wish I'd gotten more. Brisket is solid, the pork is fantastic. You really can't go wrong with any of their sides save for the gumbo they used to have on the menu. Not shocked they don't do that one anymore. The hot sauce is perfect and is another item I never get enough of. Try the sweet tea if you dine in. The staff are always friendly and when we do pickup or doordash they always set us up with plenty of plates and plasticware.

Spacious restaurant, extremely well kept, clean, and nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.First time visiting, and I enjoyed the options on the menu. We had pulled pork, a half a rack of ribs, corn bread, garlic bread, green beans, and macaroni and cheese for $44. I felt that was more than reasonable.Food was good, cornbread exceptional, though I tend to enjoy my ribs a little more tender. Lots of BBQ Sauces to choose from.Nice experience and will visit again.

I went the the one in Newark around dinner time. I asked for an appetizer menu item and was told “we don’t have time for them right now” implying that they were too busy, but there were only 2 families in the restaurant. i ordered my food and in my side of fries i found 2 fried pickle chips. So basically they had them already made in order for a few to end up in my food, but couldn’t serve them to me?
