When I was with BHP they could NOT keep the same doctors for good amounts of time. It's hard starting over with a new doctor every 2 months or less. The doctors put me on medication that made me feel like a zombie and they did NOT care how it was effecting me mentally. THEY REFUSED TO PUT ME ON MEDICATION THAT I ALREADY KNEW WOULD WORK FOR ME. THEY HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE ON THE WRONG MEDICATIONS AND THE PATIENTS DO NOT REALIZE IT. I REALIZED IT AN LEFT BHP ASAP AFTER 4 YEARS. I'VE WITNESSED IT MYSELF FOR 3 TO 4 YEARS. A LOT OF THE PATIENTS END UP DOING DRÛGS BECAUSE THEIR MEDICATION ISN'T WORKING FOR THEM AND THEIR DOCTORS WILL NOT PUT THEM ON MEDICATION THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BHP TO ANYBODY AT ALL. PEOPLE ON THE FACT TEAM ARE ALWAYS CONNECTED AND TALKING TO THE DOCTORS. THE DOCTORS WOULD RATHER LISTEN AND DO WHAT THE FACT TEAM THINKS THEY SHOULD DO RATHER THAN ACTUALLY LISTENING TO THEIR PATIENTS!!!!

The job I work for says I'm not smart enough to work for them. Bhp should put me on disability since I am not able to work for any company.

Everything has been good so far especially my therapist, Mitch. I absolutely adore him. Only complaint I have is one of the front desk personnel I only talk to regarding appointments. She gets snippy and has the "know it all" like attitude with me when she had no clue what she was talking about one day and it really rubbed me the wrong way..this is a me tal health facility; treats others like that definitely is not appropriate anywhere but especially in a place like this is just ridiculous. Luckily I don't have to deal with that same person when I'm checking in for my appointments at the facility.

I loved my nurse practitioner. She is absolutely amazing. Everyone else, however, is absolutely terrible!! They definitely need help with the people they hire to do reception because they always screw up. I worked at the Spencer house for 2 months before the HR staff decided my background check didn't meet their standards and terminated me. Everyone at the residential treatment facilities violates HIPAA, which BHP is supposed to take heed of. I am not found in the system at all now. BHP, Kate St James, this office won't last for much longer if you don't do something about it!!

My daughter had an appointment with Mitch Bowman today, but was not seen. She arrived prior to her appointment time, checked in with the receptionist, and then filled out all of her paperwork. After waiting, the receptionist asked my daughter if she has been seen and mentioned that she was marked as a "no show" despite having been waiting all that time. The receptionist admitted that it was her fault, but Bowman refused to see my daughter even though the receptionist said that he had free time. This is a horrible way to treat patients, especially when the fault was that of the practice.

I have been attending BHP for over 10 years for help with both past substance addiction problems and diagnosed mental illness issues. Everyone I have been in contact with over the years, from reception to psychiatrists and counseling, every employee I have encountered is professional, helpful and very caring to my needs. My appointments are never canceled by them, and very rarely are they running late. I am giving them the highest recommendation possible, and will not take my mental health care anywhere else.

My therapist is awesome. But, the other people are another story. I went to case management clinic and got a case manager. She up and quit, didn’t tell me and the person I was “transferred” to has never contacted me. So I called the supervisor of case management. 2 weeks later she had not called back. Talked to her in person today. She was extremely condescending. I have all but got on my knees and begged for some help from this place and my there seems to be the only one listening.

I was sent here after staying at Shepherd Hill, I did the intake all I needed done was someone to write me prescriptions for my medications, I called in and the lady on the phone said to be at BHP by 8am for my appointment on Wednesday, I get there at 7:50 and said I’m here for my 8am appointment, to be told oh these aren’t really appointments these are first come first serve doctor visits, and we’re already full for the morning...but I was told over the phone it would be an appointment.. I’m almost out of meds and was told to go here to get more.. how am I supposed to get more when no one knows how to schedule a proper appointment? This is my mental health on the line and they don’t seem to care.

my boyfriend was at the Spencer House all men's house in Newark Ohio, and unfortunately was unsuccessfully removed from the program but it wasn't his fault he failed. All the guys were bringing in Alcohol Fentanyl Meth and Xanax. Putting all the other men's sobriety at risk, my boyfriend was faced with temptation after temptation being offered lines of drugs in REHAB. Before he finally caved and unfortunately he OVERDOSED along with TWO other residents. Now why isn't this house more closely monitored thoroughly searched? I do not recommend this program AT ALL. My boyfriend is now sitting in county jail awaiting sentencing possibly facing three years. he was due to be successfully discharged from the program august 21st but they failed him and the other residents all still using while there. it saddens me.
