We selected to refill the gas of the rented vehicle on our return to the airport. At this location, Akron, Ohio, the gas service station is within a mile of the airport where we completely refilled the car with fuel. Two days after returning home we discovered that we were charged a penalty for not filling the car. If I did not look carefully at the digital receipt, I would not have noticed the charge. When I called, the agent stated the fee was for "neglecting to fill the gas upon return." I indicated the date/time and name of service station that we refilled the Budget Rental car. She stated that due to the fact that this service station is so close to the airport, the satellite monitoring of the fuel was unable to detect a filled tank. While she credited the charge, this appears to be a scam.

Staff was great, and the car was fine, but Budget overbilled me. I rented the car and prepaid online. When I returned the car a day early, they charged me an extra $18. Pretty strange policy if you ask me.

They need a set company return policy (& transparency) on how you are charged for the gas you use in your rental car. With a reasonable price per gallon!

I wish I had copied the survey I just finished. Briefly, the exterior of the car was half washed, the driver side windshield and the side window were dirty and streaked, there was no windshield washer fluid, the web site is deceiving - pay now $145 or pay later $180+ later, I chose pay now and my card was charges $180+. When I called to ask why, I was told it was for taxes. I got a low tire message half way to my destination and had to take time to have the tires checked and air added. Overall, a very poor experience.

This is the third time that I have rented with Bridget. My pick up experience in my drop off experience were very simple and quick. I have been upgraded all three times. It’s a pleasure doing business with Bridget.

The woman at the counter in Akron Canton airport was extremely helpful and professional. I have never had a better experience at a rental car agency counter in my life.

We had a great experience with renting a SUV for our family vacation. The vehicle was perfect for our needs and had all the amenities. The price was reasonable and and the process was flawless.

You can read the reviews for this location and quickly recognize that the service at this counter is just terrible. If you can believe it--the two ladies behind the desk on Friday 15 September actually told me that the problems we had with the car weren't there fault and that I should take it up with the person outside???? What? She actually told me that if I did not lower my voice they would rent to me (this is after we had to drive a vehicle that had had two tires we had to fill up constantly on the first day of our rental before we returned it for a replacement). Must be hard to find good help or is the training of these team members this bad?

Well, I thought it was going to be a good review until we got accused of smoking in the suburban we rented, we had 4 children in their and no smoking happened inside that vehicle! Purposely picked extra stops to step outside and vape, just Wow, we will be fighting it! This company has lost any future rentals from my family! It's so disappointing to get this after being back 3 weeks later, they decide.....SMH

I will never rent from here again. The car needed brakes and rotors so bad. It couldn’t not have been inspected beforehand. I drove from Ohio to Georgia and back and the ride home was ridiculous. The entire front end shook once I got to 55 mph so we got home late. I wasn’t able to speak to customer service and requested a call and was never called.

The car I was given was dirty when I got it. The windows still had paint on it from the previous person I’m assuming. I had the truck for a week and had to listen to to trunk rattling the whole time. Then they charged me $250 saying the car was dirty which it was not. I returned the vehicle cleaner than when I received it. I will never use budget again smh.

Reserved a vehicle on the budget website on 7/8/2023 at 2 am.. Went to the Akron Canton Airport to pick up the car 7/8/2023 at 4:30 pm and return a car from the previous week…. While in line the lady announced that unless your reservation is over 24 hours old she would not have the cars to accommodate any further reservations today…This sent many people still waiting in line over to the Enterprise Rental Care counter, I had to wait in line to return last weeks vehicle… while returning the vehicle and speaking with the lady Enterprise Car Rental closed at 5:00 pm…. She advised that she did not have a car to rent me!!!! Leaving me stranded at the airport!!!!But she told me I could wait and hope that a car could possibly become available and she was there till 8 pm…Essentially waiting for 3 hours for a car “that may” become available no promises… SERIOUSLY?So I’m stranded at the airport 45 minutes away from home because budget DOES NOT have enough cars to rent on a weekend!!!! Yet their website will give out UNLIMITED reservations!!!!Then because my reservation was prepaid and not refundable if the vehicle is NOT picked, I had to contact a 1-800 number to cancel the reservation which will take 3-10 days to be credited back to my credit card!!!!I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND BUDGET OR AVIS TO ANYONE ELSE EVER!!!!If zero stars were an option I would give zero stars!!!!

We appreciated the surprise upgrade we received it gave us a lot more room. The vehicle was clean and very comfortable to drive. Thanks again for a smooth rental experience.

Loved the GMC suv good on gas and great to drive . Put about 1000 miles on it and was not disappointed. Will always use Budget when traveling.

I prepaid for a rental over 30 days in advance. When i show up to pick up my vehicle, i am told that they do not have it and there are none available. The response from one of the workers was “ we tell them this happens all the time, here is my managers card. You could try Enterprise.” I saw a similar vehicle in the lot, so i had to ask them to look at that one. I ended up renting another vehicle, but i had to solve my own problem. They offered no assistance. The lady helping me was sorry, but couldn't help. I returned the car almost 24 hours early and didn't even get a credit. I cant even get a reply from any emails to Budget. Car was nice, but terrible customer service. I recommend never prepaying or trusting them that your car will be there.
