“This shop caught out-of-spec cylinder heads during a major Subaru engine repair, rejected them, absorbed the issue internally, and completed the engine correctly to manufacturer specification instead of cutting corners. That decision protected the final outcome rather than the invoice.
The repair required full teardown and outside machine work. When the heads came back over-machined, they measured, stopped the job, sourced proper replacements, and finished the engine only after it was fully verified and running correctly.
Based on how this was handled, I’d trust this shop again for serious mechanical work where accuracy and accountability matter.”

I had major leaks all over my Cadi with the Northstar engine. Leaks from pan gasket, valve covers, pwr steering, transmission and needed front suspension and steering work. Matt and his team did a phenomenal job. No more leaks and drives like a brand new car.”

“My car started getting very hard to shift between gears. I finally set up an appointment at the Akron location when it began having issues actually showing what gear it was in. I'd go to start it and it would show park on the dash, but wouldn't crank at all and I'd have to shift to reverse then back to park to get it started.
Within 2 business days, Waterloo transmission had it diagnosed as the transmission range sensor causing all of the issues. They had the part ordered and replaced it. I was amazed at how smooth and simple it is to move the shifter now. I'm going to need to train my body to be more gentle when putting it into different gears because I just about ripped the shifter off putting it into park when i got home. Apparently I was way more accustomed to the difficult shifting for longer than I thought.
If I ever need transmission service in the future, Waterloo Transmission is my new go-to shop!”
