Went into the North Olmsted Huntington to take some money out of my 401k. There were three employees standing around a phone looking at pictures as I came in. It took about a minute for one to even acknowledge I was there, quickly followed by "someone will be with you soon". I watched them proceed to stand around until two employees decided to go to lunch, at which point I went to speak with a banker for assistance. She said she could not help me and placed me with a teller, who had never completed this action before in her career. I spent two hours at Huntington as this teller, who was very kind by the way, attempted to learn on the job. An action that seems to me, someone on the floor should be trained to complete. Never the less, when I regain my patience I will return to (another) Huntington bank and pull the funds from my accounts with them.

We called and scheduled an appointment to open checking accounts for three of our kids. When we scheduled we confirmed we could bring their birth certificates, social security cards, and school IDs to open the accounts [the same things we used to previously open our other child's account with them]. When we arrived for the appointment we were told we had to have state IDs for the kids to open the accounts [despite our phone confirmation and opening the previous account]. The bank employee, Mary, told us we could go to the BMV and get them state IDs and return. She told us she was there until noon [it was 11:00am]. We figured we would never make it back in time, but believe it or not we were able to get them all state IDs and return to the bank at 11:55am. Mary then told us we couldn't open the accounts because it would take an hour. I pointed out that she told us to come back by noon and we were originally there at 11:00. Her response was that it takes an hour. So, we were either given bad info on the phone or in person [likely in person since we opened the previous account] and then were told to return when they really didn't want us to return. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Great friendly people work at this bank. I love that they always greet you very friendly and everyone seems happy to work there. They make it quick and they seem to always want to help you when you walk in.

I went to north olmsted huntington to open a business credit card account. The banker told me that I couldn't because there is a requirement of number of years that you must be in business. I knew she didnt know what she was talking about so I went to another Huntington location and opened one no problem. That north Olmsted banker doesnt know her own requirements as she confused it for an equity line or business loan. A credit card is not a business loan or equity line. How did you get your job?

I was in there today to get an I-9 form notarized for the human resources department at my remote job. It turns out that for whatever reason, bank notaries cannot notarize those documents. That's fine, but the notary there was so rude and condescending to me. She spoke to me as if I were a child, and refused to listen to me when I was trying to explain what I needed to have notarized. I have a doctorate! I think I am capable of reading directions and communicating my needs. The disrespectful attitude of the notary was strange because everyone else in the office was really friendly and accommodating. I wanted to comment to the management about how rude she was to me, but then I realized she was probably also the manager because she had the large office in the back. I'm not going to stop banking with Huntington, but I will not go back to that branch.
