I haven't been to this location in years and remember why now. I had a cart with a horrific wheel that despite fixing it every two minutes it continued to stick and pull in different directions. Some employees noticed me struggling it and literally chuckled which leads me to believe it's an ongoing thing. The store was dirty and cashier unfriendly. I literally gave up halfway thru my list because I couldn't deal with it anymore. I stopped at a different store on my way home to finish up and was immediately reminded how stores should run. I realize it's covid year but other stores are managing. The marcs in Berea (although I don't go there often) is not as unpleasant as great northern.

The only good thing about this store is the closeouts section. Very dirty. Restrooms never seem to be stocked with toilet paper. Some staff members and cashiers are rude.The Avon Marc's is much cleaner and user friendly.This store was recently renovated and looks so much bigger and cleaner. The ladies at customer service are great. My favorite part of this Marc's has to be the closeout section which is well organized and stocked. I just wish this Marc's still had its pharmacy. So much better than other locations I've been to.

A customer accidentley knocked over a display of pickle jars, that broke. Glass everywhere. I told a cashier and cust. service desk and 45 min later nothing done. The aisle was blocked with broken glass and pickle juice. Just another day at Marcs!

I was a regular shopper here for certain deals; however very disappointed in the management. When I got home from an entire evening of shopping, I realized the cashier neglected to give me one of my bags with a $9.99 bottle of Moscato Bubbly Champagne. The store was closed by the time I got home so I went back the next day. The manager told me that the bag wasn't in their log so therefore they had to "review the tape footage" which takes at least a day and then they'd get back to me. Thus, I would need to wait at least a day for them to review tape footage, call me back, then if they determined the cashier did not give me the bag, I would have to be inconvenienced yet again by coming back to the store another day so they could replace my missing item. There were no apologies or niceties (or smiles even offered). Very unfriendly. Such an example of poor customer service (as if I needed to lie about a $10 missing item) I know I did not leave it in the cart because I had things on the bottom rack of the cart as well and certainly would have noticed. It just seems to me that good customer service would dictate that they replace the missing item (especially given that I'm sure it wouldn't break the store's profit margin). Just disappointing and will not be shopping here anymore given this experience. And will also be telling all colleagues of my experience and poor management and discouraging them from shopping here as well. Hope it was worth it to lose a customer and all future purchases for $10.

I have been shopping at different Marcs stores for many years. The N.O. store has been on the decline as of recently. Meat case is getting pitiful. Very few selections and a lot of empty spaces.
