lady that works there that puts stuff on shelves is super annoying, she's rude, doesn't say excuse me, doesn't smile or say a word, just talks out loud to herself complaining about customers. I thought maybe she had a bad day, but this is the 3rd of 4th time she's had bad days... Why would I want to shop at a place with this kind of negativity

At one point in time this was my all time favorite spot to thrift in the area, but in the last few months the prices have gone up a crazy amount. They have weekly sales on different color tags, and my final straw was seeing sale colored tags stickered over with new colors and at higher prices💔 a 3” plastic pot liner was $4.99! don’t know if management changed our what, but the store definitely has a different energy now

Honestly it was really nice and organized, some of the staff seemed really sweet. My first time coming here.
But it was really an experience ruiner having an employee get nasty with me, the older lady acting like I was going to steal earrings because I asked if I could purchase them.. and then giving me a nasty look and making a snarky remark at me trying to grab them to hand to the person on register to ring up for me, going “yeah no I’ll give them to him to make sure it’s actually rung up”- wow okay.

VOA used to be a hidden gem, but in the last 9-10 months has gone the corporate ‘goodwill’ route in terms of hiking up prices, reorganizing, and introducing with ill sorted “grab bags” of junk. It’s very disappointing, as I’ve been shopping there for years. It’s unaffordable now, and seeing couches for $100+, used appliances priced higher than brand new box stores and a grandfather clock for $300+ last week was the final straw for me. The counter area has items so overpriced it feels like whoever is pricing them uses google lens, chooses the maximum $ amount and doesn’t think of the demographic this store should be serving. If the profits from this store benefit veterans, getting items off the shelves, especially when those items were DONATED to begin with should be a priority. (It certainly used to be one, but with the recent changes, this no longer seems to be the case.)
50% off for the last Tuesday of the month is a great promotion, but when prices are being gouged normally, the 50% off just doesn’t hit like it did even a year ago.

How the mighty have fallen... This was one of the last real THRIFT stores, but it seems they too have succumbed to the gross corporate greed pricing model. Literally everything behind the counter is priced higher than actual vintage stores can even get away with. Google Lens in the hands of people uneducated in the valuation of collectibles is not helping either the customers or the store. So ick that this is how every thrift store seems to be these days.

I had Halle today on register. She was so kind and sweet, and just overall a great face to see representing this store. Halle and the rest of the staff make shopping here a blessing. Will return!!

I absolutely love this store! It definitely is overwhelming to go through but it’s so worth it! I always find unique pieces here. You just have to keep your eyes out and just keep looking. in addition to the excellent selection of stuff here, everything here is priced very reasonably! This store also has EXCELLENT customer service and great, kind employees. I called the store because something I bought was missing from my bag I took and with no hesitations they looked for it, found it, and had it in the manager's office for me to pick up ?.

i've literally been shopping here since i was a child with my family and this was by far the worst experience i've ever had. my mom had been in earlier in the day and was overcharged and had to come back in to get a refund. that wasn't a big deal but when i came in later in the day, as i was trying on clothes a worker decided to walk up to my partner and i to start an argument for no reason. according to her my partner made a face she didn't like??? and she walked up to him to say he was a mean and rude person and saying that she has epilepsy for some reason as well? and then threatened to KICK US OUT OF THE STORE because she was staring at us and making us uncomfortable. do better and fix the attitudes of your workers.

The only thrift store I’ve ever been to where I can’t shop from the go-back racks near the dressing rooms. I’ve literally gotten snapped at by an employee at this store simply for wanting to look at something that caught my eye on that rack. I’ve even been to another VOA location and that wasn’t a rule there either so I don’t understand why it’s such a huge deal at this one. Other than that they have a decent selection and I usually find something at a pretty good price. But the overall shopping experience is enough for me to not return.
