I went there knowing what I wanted talked to Ron told him I was there for one thing I believe I got a deal that was fair to both of us if you go here make sure you do your home work your smart phone is a powerful tool use it also there are shops that will do a inspection for about 100.00 .look at it like you are buying a car from a stranger from market place.I think the Akron store is better. The days of a 1000 dollar beater are over and I would send someone there .I got a 07 explorer after working a few bugs out it runs great by the way I looked at a lot of cars before choosing

This is for the Akron location.. My daughter and I was driving over 2 hours to test drive and possibly purchase a Chrysler 200 that was on the website within our price range & mileage, I called and talked to Michelle we were trying to get everything pre approved prior to us getting there, that did not work out because my bank loan officers was not in yesterday, so we arrived and Michelle lied right to our face and said the car that we were looking for, a coworker of hers, drove the car home and end up buying it yesterday morning before we got there, she tried showing us some other cars but at this point, I was already checked out because I knew that she was lying to me or had lied to me and just get us there on the lot and tried to sell us something else, she also said that if we wanted the loan and everything approved that day, I would need 10 percent down for a down payment, I told her on the phone earlier that I did not want to pay a down payment, we wanted to just come in, get the loan and go home. So out of frustration and her lying to me 2 times, we just left! Very upset because of her integrity. We went to collect our thoughts because we had just driven 2 hours, so I got to looking on the site, and the car was actually at your Norton location. I told my daughter, let's just stop at that lot on the way home And if the car is on that lot, then we know that she completely just lied instead of just saying, oh, I'm sorry, that car is at the other lot, but I have these cars to show you if you're interested. You just lied and said a coworker purchased the car, and that was no longer available, and I had to have a 10 percent down on any car that I picked out. So we went to the Norton lot & there was the car!! WOW good job, Michelle. You almost cost your boss a sale because we really was just gonna drive back home but decided to check the lot out in Norton last minute.I must say Sean Sims at the Norton lot was amazing. I got the loan within an hour or so & we drove the car, home and guess what, I didn't have tohave a down payment hmmm .. Shame on you Michelle! I will also be contacting the BBB .. I understand everyone's trying to make money. But to blatantly lie twice to someone that's wanting to make a pretty goodPurchase Is not the way you should handle things. The people at the Norton lot did an outstanding job!! Thank YOU Sean Sims

Embarrassed to say I had a hard lesson learned by purchasing a vehicle from here last August. They either lied to me about why the check engine light was on or were grossly mistaken and I didn't find out until I bought the wrong part and paid a mechanic to tell me that wasn't what I needed. Since last August I have put over 1.5-2k in parts and replacements, paid over $300 for various tows, and managed to drive it a total of maybe four months. It threw a rod going 65 in January- Before that, the front driver side wheel fell off twice while driving. Not to mention the rewiring that needed done and entire front end replacement- The dry rotted tires, the ate up rotors & brakes. I know they'll say that I had every right to have a mechanic look it over before I purchased, but the problems that weren't discussed would have needed an hours-long dissection in order to be identified. Im still paying off my loan from the bank for this car and I've been without transportation for most of the time I've had this vehicle. Im lucky I have people who give me rides, I can't imagine how difficult my life would be if I didn't have that. Please be warned that if you buy from this place, it is not suggested that you have the car checked by a mechanic, rather a necessity that you have it combed through by a mechanic with surgeon-like precision. Be smarter than me.

Well that may true that it’s stated as is, but when people look you up and get the impression this is the better place to go because of your great prices or deals and come to find out that it isn’t. Being able to stand by what you sell is very important to me and I was told this is the best one to buy from Buick Enclaves on the lot.

They're nice when they sell to you. Now they won't give me the money I'm owed. When I asked them directly, "Are you OK, morally, with keeping the money," to which manager Jeff Morris replied, "Why wouldn't I keep it? You're the one that made the mistake. I don't care that it didn't make sense. I'll keep the money. " Just to show you the character of the people who work here, and presumably Fred Martin, the owner as well. In fact, Fred called to tell me, "Good luck getting the money you're owed". I would stay away unless you're a mechanic and don't need financing as they will fleece you however they can.

I bought a car from them a few weeks ago and so far this car has been amazing. It’s my first car so it had to be right for me and they were very helpful every step of the way. They were able to negotiate with me price wise to get me a car that’s in a good price range for me and overall this is an amazing place to buy cars from, with amazing staff also. The car I bought had a problem with the radio and they were nice enough to replace it for me and were very patient with me during my car search. Definitely recommend them if you need a used car!

This review starts negative. I bought a Toyota Highlander for $6,500. After test driving it and noticing a thump in the right rear wheel. Thinking it was a bad strut I bought the vehicle anyway. Two weeks later I was able to get it into my mechanic. I was informed it was a rotten cross member. Basically the frame was rotted making the vehicle unsafe to drive. I drove it back to Budget and spoke to the salesman Adam Gainley who sold me the Highlander. He listened and viewed the repair quote from my mechanic that read $5,500 to repair. Adam called his boss who agreed this repair was too much. Adam was able to offer me another vehicle in exchange. I am very satisfied with the handling of my situation.

Please, don't buy a car here. I was rear ended and my car was totaled. I had 3 days with the insurance company to find a new car. Unfortunately, I went to Fred martins budget lot. Huge mistake. I paid $5,100 cash for a 2011 Ford fusion. "it's a sound car for your family", they told me. "nothing wrong with it". I bought it, drove it home. The next morning it wouldn't start. I replaced the battery. That afternoon, when I put the car in gear it jumped all over. I called the lot, they told me "it was as is, nothing we can do". Okay, I get that. But, I had a limited amount of money. I told scarlet, the salesperson that I just wanted the car to make it to NC to see my son. "'oh yeah, no problem", I'm told.Wrong.The car has been in the shop since the day after I bought it. Bad tie rod, bad back brakes, bad spark plugs and a bad air filter. The shop said there is no way they didn't know about some of these issues. You literally sold me a car with bad brakes, knowing I was going to turn around and attempt to drive my children out of state to see my son.I don't expect perfection with a $5000 car. But, I do expect it to drive. I haven't driven the damn thing one day since we got it. Scarlet was very nice, but her kindness was misleading and so was the young man who helped her rip me off.

I am really appalled because I purchased my 2010 Chevy traverse March 13th and before I purchased the tire pressure light was on because it needed air, so I thought. The engine light was on as well and I asked what was wrong. Adam put the reader in and it read a misfire code and he said that it needed a tune up. So I agreed because I knew I could afford that fix. But another code popped up a week after having the car which was an oil light. So I thought I needed an oil change. Once I was able to get in for the tune up I was told by the dealer I needed, the mechanic told me it was a misfire because there's metal flakes in my oil which is from the engine and that my engine is going to go soon. He also told me that my timing chain is off which has a lot to do with the engine. I honestly wouldn't have purchased had I known the engine was no good. That's not something a mechanic would have seen within an hour especially when you have to schedule an appointment. I am very upset that the lemon law does not apply to used cars which would only make sense. The State of Ohio needs to make dealers accountable for faulty cars. This pretty much tells me I can start up a business & get over on people as long as I have all legalities in line. The customer service was nice but the honesty and care for the customers aren't so genuine. I feel dealers need to upfront and honest about their cars because there are single mothers out there who don't know much about cars or have anyone for that matter. I haven't even had the vehicle for 2 weeks yet and the engine is going. I hope someone can legally stand up for people like me soon. Please be careful & very thorough before purchasing from Budget Car Mart.
