I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, organization, and accountability from this tax preparation service.
As a new business, we relied on them as our accountants. When our sales tax was due, no one reached out to notify us or guide us, which resulted in the payment being late and ultimately going to collections. When this was brought to the owner’s attention, her response was, “I’m just not used to you guys being on our client list,” which is not an acceptable explanation from a professional firm.
That issue was eventually resolved, but then my personal taxes were prepared incorrectly, resulting in me owing over $11,000.
Most concerning of all, when I recently went in to pay balances for both my business and personal accounts, I was informed, for the first time, 2 weeks before the calendar year is over, that they had not been doing my personal accounting for the entire year because I had an outstanding balance. This was NEVER communicated to me. At no point was I told services had stopped, nor that my finances were no longer being organized.
The accountant stated that the last time he heard from me was when an extension was filed in March. That was because we chose to have another party complete our taxes, which I was under no obligation to report, especially since no one had indicated that services were paused or contingent on that information.
Overall, this experience showed a serious lack of communication, follow-through, and client care. For a business handling sensitive financial matters, I expected professionalism and proactive guidance. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

In 2023. My refund was deposited in the wrong account. I’ve been told I can not get help with this. I lost out on 885 dollars. The bank won’t help. The irs has done 3 contact traces. And now Chris sent me back to the irs and said he can not help me. I’ve been going there for 20 years with the same bank account. I will not be going back

Thrilled with my experience with ConTax! Scheduling was simple, details were digestible and easy to understand. Running a small business, they made my complex tax situation a smooth process! They’ve completed my taxes for three years and I would highly recommend them!!To note, these guys know what they’re doing! Their method works perfectly! If you don’t like having everything in paper, they do it the old fashion way (not too old though!). If that method is something you’re okay with, then THEY are the people to get your tax situation taken care of!

I will never go here again. Have used him a few years and now know he is not there to help save you money. Anything and everything that he can add to your tax liability he will. Pay him $250 to prepare your taxes and get less of a return back as well... I was not happy with his service but he still made me pay! I told him don't bother filing the return and took my business elsewhere.
