I just came out of Dollar General. I have Medicare and Dollar General except Medicare cards for items approved !This guy was so rude and so hateful and I have Alzheimer’s. I called Medicare and he wanted me to go back in the store and ask what items was not allowed on the card on my card And the boy was very rude and said that he don’t have to do anything. He was a total jerkI don’t get how people can be so rude to older people. I was not rude to him. I was trying my best not to cry and be upset. If you’re older don’t shop there and besides their prices are really high.

I personally have never left a review, but living in small Orwell and having to come to this store for small things has me beyond frustrated. They have a new self check out, and if you don’t use it the manager Kevin gets an attitude. I’m sorry but i have 2 children always with me that normally don’t cooperate the best, one being the age of 1 wanting to touch things, and it’s simply easier for me to have someone else ring my items up for me. Kevin will huff and puff loudly enough for you to purposely hear him, and roll his eyes and shake his head. Something needs to be done. If you don’t like your job and the public is an inconvenience to you, find a new place of employment.

Messy, always can't find anyone to ring you out since they outside. Then Kevin and Dylan I believe name he gave say both the manager. Well not very nice and will not return after that mess.

Dylan said he was the manager. I was using selfcheckout it took my money off and I owed a few cents more. Put another card in and my kid removed it and the system froze. Dylan rebooted it and walked away to smoke outside. Kevin rang me up and said yes it didn't take the money off your card. I said well then I'll use the same card. It declined. His way of fixing it was me paying twice for a product and after calling me a Karen and difficult with an attiute. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IF NOW YOU ARE BOTH SAYING YOUR THE MANGER. AND THE MONEY NEVER WENT BACK TO MY CARD. RUDE. OF COURSE I WAS UPSET AND SAID NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL OF YOU BOTH AND THEY PROCEEDED TO CALL ME A KAREN. ALSO SAID BECUASE OF MY DAM KID WHY THE MACHINE FROZE. LIKE GET AROUND childrenAND STOP BLAMING OTHERS AND RESPECT Customers OR FIND ANOTHER JOB,and def learn to deal with the public. like very rude and the way they get away with talking to people UNREAL ? going on another week and no returned calls or money back on card

Great staff but corporate has neglected this site.Parking lot is destroyed, plow drivers won't service it so in winter it can be closed for days.Fridge isles often are broken and dairy products are limited or sold out due to lack of fridge space.

No room to shop, staff always missing, always seems to have a new manager, staff underpaid. Expectations for staff are unrealistic, the floors look awful, the grass and snow are left unattended to the point the store could not open. Way to much product to stuff in one room. Very unsafe if somthing were to happen. On a positive note you will find some good products here for a good price.
