Excellent service. Found product that was unavailable at nearby places. The man that helped me led me to it and the cashier told me to find eclipse glasses at library in Oxford which I did.

The sales lady was very nice, she called the manager to go next door to locate a part I needed . The manager was grumpy because she had to leave the nice cozy office to go find a part in the other building she nothing about, which Im sure they had. On my way home I stopped at Performace Outdoors, they had my part I needed.

This store does not carry much stock. So I tried to order online. I paid through PayPal, and it came out of my bank account, but it took me back to the previous page and asked for payment again. I did not try a second time. I went to the store to place the order, and the manager kept insisting that the Hamilton store had it. I finally showed him a picture of what I was ordering, before he said well no, we don't have that. When I went to pick up my order, there was no record of it, and no paperwork to sign for it. They finally took my receipt, entered it online, and let me take my purchase. Plus the item wasn't as shown and described online, so it will require extensive modification to work for my application. So everything was a pain, took forever, and I didn't get what I really needed in the end.

Same old ACE. If you need help, can't get it...if ya don't need help, cant get rid of 'em. Usually have items needed.

Staff is always Pleasant and very helpful every time I come in, I get exactly what I need and I'm in and out the door quickly and with courtesy.

The “We Pretend to be Helpful Place!”I go out of my way to support small businesses, often forgoing convenience and cost savings to this end. So I’m often shopping at ACE Hardware for my woodworking needs; not because I have to, but because I want to. And every time I go there in search of something the employees offer to order it for me if it’s not available. So when I began a custom bed frame project I immediately thought of ACE. First I checked the inventory they had in-store. They had the parts I needed, just not in the correct gauge. I spoke to the manager who excitedly told me she’d be happy to contact the company and inquire about the specific gauge I need, and even ask about different color options. She took down my details and phone number, I told her no rush, and I left happy and confident that my local hardware pros were on the case.About a week later I went back for something unrelated and she told me she hadn’t had time to contact them yet, but she would make it a priority. Again, I said no rush. Take your time!Big mistake.Two weeks after that I went back. I still hadn’t heard from anyone and I really needed to know if these parts were available so I could begin my search elsewhere if I needed to. Unfortunately none of the employees knew what I was referring to and I was told to come back another time.The following week I went back and specifically asked about the parts I needed. The same manager I spoke to the first time, the one who excitedly brought the idea of contacting the company to me in the first place, told me she still hadn’t called them. She began to say that because I was only ordering a few she wouldn’t be able to…and trailed off. It was clear that she was trying to give me an excuse as to why she hadn’t tried to find these parts yet but I clarified with her that I had never given her a quantity. For all they knew I needed a thousand of them.She said she’d call that day.It’s been over a month and all I want to know is if they are capable of ordering these parts or not. I don’t know why I’m being ignored, especially considering this was an offer the manager made to me. It was her idea to contact the company about these parts. It’s something every employee offers if they don’t have the inventory in the store.But now that I take them up on it they snub me? How is that helpful to anyone? I just wanted to know if it is possible to order these parts through ACE. Do they exist? If not, please tell me so I can look elsewhere. I approached them months before I needed the parts because I knew this would happen. No one ever prioritizes the customer, and often they preach quippy one-liners meant to instill confidence and trust but they don’t have the training, knowledge, or intent to follow through. I’m a fool for believing they cared enough to order these parts for me in the first place.This was a big deal for me, ACE, and I probably should’ve known better but I trusted your manager when she said she’d find out for me.Their website even says, “Got a project? Tell us what you need!”Don’t fall for it.To anyone else who thinks they can order special inventory from ACE, be aware that they will likely treat you the same way they treated me. They’ll ghost you in the hopes you forget you ever asked for help in the first place.It’s a real shame that this is the legacy of ACE Hardware now. ?

Tried to return items bought from Ace in Eaton. They will not take Ace returns unless purchased from their store. Cashier damaged the box of an item we were trying to return. Why?! If you're not accepting it, why did you open it! This store has really changed over the last few years.

I visit your store on September 4th 2021. Was greeted by Jessica. I informed her that I needed three or four items. She helped me find everything that I needed. She asked if I had any discount coupons which I forgot I received in the mail. She was able to save me $5. My overall experience was outstanding. I really like to support local businesses and Ace Hardware is one of those businesses. Well done Jessica, thank you for all the help!!
