“We stopped in on a cross-country journey from Albany to Chicago. It is about half-way located in Painesville OH near Cleveland. We wanted a local hotel to distinguish from all the chains along the way. A great rescue story of a historic house painstakingly rebuilt and lovingly decorated. The rooms stay open if not occupied for other guests to view them. The staff was friendly and attentive, with a nice bar for evening beverages and a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning.”
“Shops by the Lake, formerly Craft and Antique Mall. One of my very favorite places to spend a few hours just browsing around finding all sorts of cool and unique items. Over 100 vendors booths with a different flare in each booth. Anything from new to old to vintage. The walkers that help you with your items are always very helpful and friendly. The management and vendors do a very nice job of fundraising and giving back to the community and their customers with appreciation days throughout the year and a huge Easter Egg hunt for kids before Easter. You can buy unique items at great prices AND help support the community and causes. Super fun place to shop year round!”
