Lots of activities for kids, which is great. Terrain is rough for those with strollers. Lots of hills, rocks, etc. that aren’t too easy to navigate with a stroller. Lack of information about where to go/what to do for Apple picking, apple cannons, etc. I think a map would have been helpful. If there were maps, we weren’t made aware. Just seems a little thrown together & unorganized.

I’ve brought my family here for years but will never go back! They are charging 16.50 per person just to walk in! Then you pay another 16.50 for a bag to pick the apples! So, it’s not very family friendly anymore. After that they track you to make sure you have a wristband. Absolutely ridiculous!

Paid $16 and got in. There's nothing left to turn around in. Picked 4 rotten apples and returned. Waste of money and time.

This place is a money-grab! I went there today with my partner. We are two adults and only wanted to go apple-picking. On their website it says that there's apple picking and a fall festival going on. They don't say what the admission price is if you're only going to pick fruit, and the fall festival is $16 per person. Included with that price is a list of activities, mostly geared towards children and of no benefit to adults arriving without them. When we arrived we were charged for the fall festival. Part of the money-grab, but no big deal. The young lady at the gate did a very poor job of explaining how you are charged for the apples, but the bags they gave us were smaller than the little zip-loc bags that grapes at grocery stores are sold in.
When we walked through we saw that on the right was a bunch of kid activities and on the left were rows and rows of fruit trees, going up a long, somewhat steep hill. There were NO signs indicating where to begin, NO signs at the end of the rows informing about the type of fruit and apples they were, and NO signs telling which trees you can pick from and which ones you cannot. We decided to begin at the top. After walking uphill for several minutes, we turned left to go down a row. After several more minutes of walking down that row, and passing a couple of people along the way, a gentleman pulled up next to us in something that looked like a golf cart. He told us that we could not pick apples there and told us where to go. From the way he rolled up on us it was clear that this was no accident; he was sent to us by someone. We had not seen him before turning down the row, and we were deep in, too covered by trees for him to have passed us previously. This young man told us that we could not pick there and instructed us on using the bags (that only held about 4-5 apples each), where we could find signs, and where we could pick. We asked him questions about how to find signs and things like that, but his answer to everything was, "I don't know." He waited until he saw us walk further up the row and turn right across a clear path towards a group of people and a hayride truck. Then he left. We picked a few apples and got on the hayride to go back down to the exit, as the visit was a wrap. Along the way we finally saw signs, but they were so low to the ground that they would only be clear at a distance to a short Hobbit, and they were few and far between. In the end, we had essentially paid $32 for 8 apples and a hayride that was so poorly put together that our clothes and hands got pricked with weathered, rough wood, and so rickety that you literally bounced and jiggled in your seat.
Something to note is that a couple on the hayride told us that the orchard had been recently bought by new owners who significantly raised the prices and worsened the experience.
I cannot shake the fear in me from the random worker tracking us into orchard. We don't know why he would do that, but it raised alarms. Was it a creepy coincidence, racially motivated (I'm not White), or because we are an interracial couple (my partner is White)?
Needless to say, we will never return here again and we suggest that others go elsewhere. We drove 30-minutes to go to Arrowhead. For an additional 30 minutes we could have gone to Patterson Farms who are a lot less greedy, a lot more knowledgeable, and treat all of their visitors and customers equally and with respect.

We have been taking our kids to this orchard for years to pick apples, very disappointed to find out they now charge a $16pp admission fee to pick apples. If you just want to go apple-picking I would suggest that you look elsewhere.
Follow-up on Owner's response.....There is no option to only pick apples, even if you don't want to do the other activities.

Drove 30 mins out here to pick apples because the website said we could pay 5$ to pick. We were told they changed the prices and we had to pay the full price for everything. We didn’t have time to stay long enough to justify paying the full price. There was a lady who said “I dunno when you checked” I said I just checked last night and she said “well it’s getting updated tonight”. That was rude. That’s false advertising and bad buisness. We left with some upset kids who wanted to pick apples.

Advertised that it was open, but when we arrived, they had a small sign that said they were closed. My whole day was planned around visiting, so we were pretty disappointed.
