“I grew up near this Market as a kid, and now as an adult I work nearby and it's a great spot for fresh meat, be it deli or butchered. I recently ordered a rolled pork loin, yes I know I can filet it myself, but with my schedule it's easier to have a butcher do it. It came perfectly prepped and vacuumed sealed for freshness. They went above and beyond and I will definitely recommend!”

“This was our first time at Jim’s Meats. Minnie was amazing, friendly and helpful in our meat choices. We grilled the prime rib steaks and made hamburgers with the chuck. The boys said it was the best steak they ever had! We used the prime rib seasoning Minnie suggested (also found at west side market) and it was perfection. Thank you Minnie! We will be back!”

We also do special holiday orders -- turkey for Thanksgiving, ham and a roast for Christmas and lamb for Easter. Superior quality and competitive prices. Pre-ordering works best. “Lance's is my Go to for the traditional beef cuts when I want to make an impression in a dinner setting.Keep your friends close but your butcher closer. Grant the owner is always pleasant and accommodatingn. I love the Short Ribs and he has in the past ordered Beef cheek for me depending on availability and will take orders on cuts if you want a specific sized cut. I recommend his delmonico steaks as my personal favorite as well as his ground beef.”
“Ive been shopping here for quite awhile and i believe ive neglected to make a review. These people are very lovely, i enjoy coming here. They dont make grocery shopping seem like a chore to me. And while this isnt anyones business, i have ptsd, it causes me to have issues with socializing due to anxiety. But not once have i had issues with my anxiety here unless its crowded. They keep it nice and clean. There is a smell every once in awhile, but ive also been buying from here for quite awhile to know it isnt due to rotten meat or poor temp control. Ive bought a variety of things from them: oxtail, chicken, turkey legs, fish, hush puppies (kocians is better than long john silvers, they used to have flavor but its gone downhill) ribs, lunch meat, and cheese.”

He always has great recommendations and knows a ton about the selections. In addition, the quality of the meat is some of the best I’ve had. “I purchased 20 of the maple bourbon beef skewers at the west side market the other day with my family. I just had to leave a review and say not only was the staff friendly and helpful, but the skewers were probably one of the best meals I've had in my life. I made a quick chimichurri, some cooked peppers and onions and some rice to serve along side them. Absolutely incredible. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.”
