Great location, beautiful scenery and right off the hiking trail. One of my favorite trails and I will stop here and grab a snack and relax. They have it decorated for Christmas and you can ride the train as well.

Peninsula gave almost 9,000 tickets in the first six months the town had the speed photo camera. The town's own employees admit they have had trouble with the camera. The prosecutor says do not fight the ticket. You will not win. No evidence is shared with the driver. The town collected 500k in first six months. There are only 500+ residents. What kind of justice is this? I would suggest not visiting Peninsula.

Peninsula is a gem of a small town. Beautiful setting, next to the Cuyahoga River, historic train service, easy access to the towpath trails, and a couple of good restaurants. I really enjoyed my visit.

From Akron to Peninsula and back. A total of 2 hrs with two 5 minutes stops in between to pick up anyone along the hiking trails. Beautiful view. Not much time to get off the train and do anything but stretch your legs. You can walk throughout the train. From car to car to see the different ones. The food car is at the end. Hot dogs, popcorn, lunchables, string cheese, tea, water, some soda pop. The gift shop is a little on the expensive side, so bring a lot of cash. Hoody $50-$60 T-shirts $26-28, stuff animals $20 Magnets $5-$10. Coffee mugs $20.Restrooms are available on the train. We were up on the dome part of the Silver Bronco. Air conditioning was working perfectly on that hot day!The guide we had was a very nice man who told us about the history as we were traveling down the tracks. Will have to come back for another short relaxing ride.

Awesome train ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metroparks from Peninsula to Akron ( temporarily until tracks are repaired ) . Coaches are very comfortable and climate controlled. Train has a concession car and restrooms.

Train ride was a nice historic experience, but not as much "scenery" as I expected. We saw trees, river, and marsh, but also a lot of city mixed in. The 2 hr ride was a bit too long for my elementary-age kids, but good overall.

It’s an interesting experience riding the cvsr. The staff on the train are very nice and helpful. The young man at the ticket window wasn’t at all enthusiastic to offer information.

Took the train from Boston Mills back to peninsula with my kayaks on board. Such a great service for people who want to kayak down the Cuyahoga River!
