The 1918 Preservation team is fantastic! Very professional, ahead of schedule, and Josh kept us informed throughout the project. They take a lot of pride in their work and want their customers to be satisfied with the end results. We will be hiring them again soon for another project!

1918 Preservation did an excellent job installing our composite deck. Josh and his team were detail oriented, showed up on time and completely cleaned up daily before leaving. They were all very courteous and did a great job communicating throughout the entire process. It's obvious they take great pride in the work they do and we would highly recommend them!

Josh Goldstein and the 1918 Preservation team did an excellent job building our deck. Their knowledge of the Trex product helped us choose the best option to meet our needs. Their craftsmanship and detailed design knowledge is exceptional. They clearly take pride in their work. We felt they treated this project as if they were building a deck at their own home. They communicated with us throughout the project and listened to our questions and ideas. We highly recommend them if you are looking for a top-quality deck builder.

Josh and his team came out to complete a horizontal side fence for us and a privacy fence along the back of our yard, after a big storm in the fall caused part of our tree to fall on the old fence. He and his team were efficient, caring, and worked with the city well for permitting. Highly recommend 1918 Preservation for both large and small jobs!

Josh was invaluable throughout the entire process of planning, designing, and building the deck. He was knowledgeable of the colors, differences between the quality levels, and what would work for our project. He answered any and all questions and made sure that I understood his answer. I did not feel pressured to go with a specific product or level. He stayed in communication throughout the entire process and completed the project in a completely acceptable amount of time. Multiple companies wouldn't return calls or show up for quotes. Josh was always available and approachable. Our deck turned out beautifully, and I couldn't be happier!

We could not be more happy with our experience with Josh and his team. Josh was extremely easy to work with and an excellent communicator. He kept us updated with the weather and their progression with the fence. If there were any concerns, he called or texted before they moved forward with the issue. Our fence looks amazing and we’ve already had several people comment on the fence. Their work is top notch. I highly recommend!

I love my new deck! Josh and his crew did an outstanding job from start to finish! I was shown an array of material options which helped me decide the look I wanted. An estimate was provided in a timely manner. I didn’t have to wait long before the work started. Communication on timing of crew arrival and work to be done was excellent! The craftsmanship provided was above par! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking at adding a deck to your home.

I had a wonderful experience with 1918 Preservation. From the time I reached out for an estimate to the completion of my deck project, everything was amazing. Josh was great communicating with me and getting updated pricing on changes I requested. The team were extremely neat and organized. Everyday they came to work prepared with everything they needed to complete the job. I had a total deck tear down and new larger build. The quality of their work is unmatched. My family and I are absolutely in love with our new outdoor living.

We are extremely happy with our deck that 1918 Preservation built for us this summer. They answered all questions in a timely manner, there was no pressure with making decisions and they kept us posted as to when we could expect the project to start. They cleaned up each day. I could not asked for a nicer more professional group of guys to build a deck for us. I am very happy they were able to start our deck about a month earlier than we had originally thought - so that we will have a lot more time this year to enjoy the deck as a family.

I hired 1918 Preservation to remove a 20 year old bi - level pool deck and rebuild a smaller deck with Trex. I contacted them in March of 2024 to get on the schedule. I was scheduled for the first week of August. They were able to start the work early, June 28th. They were finished in 3 days. Absolute perfection is the only way to describe my deck. It is gorgeous!!
Their work ethic, communication, pricing, and the thought that is put in to what they do is the sum of the outcome. They think through the process of how we mobilize in our surroundings and consider the smallest details during the building process. They communicate with the customer extremely well from start to finish. The skill of the team and how they work together is demonstrated by constantly double and triple checking their measurements and steps in the building process. The jobsite is left clean and orderly. I will be using them again in the future to complete another project.

We couldn’t be happier! The crew 1918 are very professional, skilled and courteous. Start to finish, this was such a great experience. We have a lake house with a dock, boardwalk and two tiered deck. It's a lot of decking! The attention to detail was over the top. They sent up updates and photos often. We couldn’t be more happy with our deck! They did a phenomenal job from the initial consultation through the completion of the project. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a professional team that holds true to their word and does quality work.

We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful new deck!! I first reached out to Josh, the owner of 1918 Preservation, on a holiday and he responded that same day! His communication with us has been fabulous. Josh listened to our needs and provided us with multiple options for our deck. I could tell from the great communication and wonderful online reviews that Josh and his team would build a quality deck. I was right! Josh, Rob, and the team always showed up early and worked in very difficult weather conditions. They are such a hard working company and we appreciated their dedication to our project.
