Inconsistent hours, you never know when they are open despite what it says on line or on door. Very small and cramped, was roomier in old location.

I’ve called multiple times to bring in some clothing. Each time the employee seems openly annoyed and I’m told I’ll have to speak to the owner who isn’t in. Each time I have given my name and number for the owner to call me back and Have never received a call.

I called one day by telephone to see about consigning some of my items. I have clothing from Eileen Fisher, a local upscale ladies clothing boutique in downtown Toledo, Saks 5th Ave, etc., and I called to make an appointment. The lady I spoke to was very lovely on the phone. The minute I walked in the shop she was ice cold to me. I couldnt even start showing her my items until she said very abruptly, "We're done here!" It was the worst business shopping experience I have ever had in my life. I would never patronize her shop or recommend it to my friends or colleagues. Can't believe that is how she treats her customers or maybe it's her treatment to certain customers.

BEWARE shady, your best items will disappear. Save yourself a huge headache & go to a reputable consignment store like Clothes Mentor or even in Ann Arbor!

I love Betty’s shop I’ve known her for 20 years and have done business with her. She has a lovely shop and is particular about the items that she consigns, which is important to me. She has an exquisite jewelry display and selection.

Facebook said it was open until 9 and I went before 7 and nobody is there. No hours listed on the door. Want to go back, but have no idea when it’s even opened

I visited change of season today and I was not treated very well. I walked in and the woman behind the counter asked “can I help you” while she was busy helping someone else. I politely replied “yes you may but I’m in no rush so please take your time helping her(the other lady ahead of me)” she then replied “I no you’re not but what can I help you with?” A little startled by her response I motioned to the dress in my hand and said “I was sent over here from clothes mentor they said you may take formal wear.” She then replied kind of annoyed “well even if we took formal wear it would have to be on a hanger and you need to make an appointment unless you are a regular consigner which you are not.” I left and won’t be back I’m not sure if her attitude was because of my appearance or age or what but I didn’t feel welcomed as a consigner or customer perhaps this was out of the ordinary seeing as the reviews seem generally good but I’m just reporting my experience.

I have consigned with Betty for at least 15 years. I love her wisdom, store, and talking with her.

Betty is very professional and only takes quality clothes in season. (I hope my gowns sell!) I have found top name clothes at very cheap prices and some on sale!! Shop here first, then go to Kohls or where ever.

Change of Seasons has higher quality clothes than most thrift stores. This place is for "older women's" fashions, you won't find much that appeals to teens here. But if you are looking for something kind of eclectic or really nice, this is the place to shop! They have a nice selection of formalwear too. Also, you do need to call and make an appointment before you can consign there. It is more complicated than selling your items to Plato's or Clothes Mentor. But you may make more money this way because of the higher quality items available. And they sell more than clothes and shoes! Bags, jewelry, scarves, books, etc.
