My completely healthy 7 month old dog died during a routine surgery here. I had just played fetch with him for an hour before taking him there for a checkup to see why his eye had been slightly bothering him. It wasn’t terribly bothering him but I decided I’d have it looked at. I had just had join there a week before for a check up but the Vet said he now needed surgery to fix his eyelids and eyelashes. Seemed reasonable enough. Unexpectedly they said they could fit him in for surgery that day or I’d have to wait weeks. I hesitantly agreed to have it done that day and left him there. He died during the surgery. I asked for more info on what happened during surgery. They essentially just said “it happens sometimes and we’re not sure”. Sometimes older dogs or dogs with health problems cannot withstand surgery. Neither were the case for my dog. While waiting for the info and while I still had his body sitting in front of me an employee came in and asked if I was ready to pay the bill and check out. I declined until I saw the reports. They then made me wait almost 2 hours for the requested information of the surgery and procedure. The information I requested is supposed to be documented during the surgery. All I asked for was the standard information that is already documented. I asked if they keep him while I scheduled a necropsy. They kept him overnight but called in the morning and said I had to pick his body up. I was not able to find someone to do a necropsy yet. I decided to give up and get him cremated. When I called the next day to ask if I could pick up his ashes they said he had not been cremated. How can they keep his body for days waiting on cremation but me asking for time to schedule a necropsy was not viable? They then charged me full price for everything that happened that they did to kill him. I do not recommend taking your pet here.

Charged me 55$ to tell me they would amputate my dogs arm they wanted to see him in person then once then seen them they said they would amputate but they needed talk to their co worker who wasn’t there and said and to leave they would call me back .. I called them two days later to ask about surgery for my dog they ask around , call me back to tell me they then wouldn’t give my dog amputations but were keeping the 55$ for fees anyways

The staff are all very nice. One dog has been misdiagnosed and we ended up having to treat his wound at home. The office won’t work with outside pharmacies unfortunately and their online pharmacy is so much more expensive. Highly disappointing.

This place sucks. They don't care about cats as much as dogs and it shows with how they treated my pet. My cat ended up getting his nailed removed from their lack of care. I do not recommend this place go somewhere else.

We absolutely love this vet. We moved here from NY and we have never been to a vet that cared for our animals so well. My dog had surgery here and she made a full recovery with the help of your fantastic rehab team and staff. We adopted a rescue dog last year and she is afraid of everything. She jumps and barks at people who come near us, feeling protective of her owners that rescued her from a bad place. She is a work in progress, and I am so thankful that PAH and their staff are super patient with her and dont see her as a threat. In the past, we have been to vets where they wanted to put our dog down if they showed any signs of aggression. Regardless of how loving they are and their history. We are moving out of perrysburg eventually but we will definitely make the commute here. They are a group of excellent people who genuinely care for your animals and will do whatever it takes to keep them happy and healthy. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I initially deleted my first negative review because it was just one bad experience at the time. However, every experience we’ve had since has been extremely frustrating. One of the most poorly run facilities I’ve ever experienced. Horrible communication and surprise bills despite being told everything was paid for when we paid the first time. Make sure to question your bill.

Our Odie loves playing with his friends at daycare. We always look forward to his “report card” at the end of the day. The staff loves all the dogs as if they are their own. The vets are awesome also!

some of the best and kindest medical professionals in town. Even my vet was Fear Free certified and I got same-day emergency care that I would not have gotten anywhere else. Perrysburg Animal Hospital is a true gem, deeply grateful to Dr. Quinn and Hannah especially.

Great vet but they stopped sending prescriptions to any outside pharmacies. Unfortunately, their in-house pharmacy charges double.

My cat had a uti and they were very informative and tentative to getting him in. Dr. Billings was wonderful at explaining everything and getting him feeling better right away! I am very very happy with this place!!

Highly recommend Dr. Amodeo for chiropractic care! She is so gentle and patient with our dog. I can't begin to express how thankful we are to her for all she has done in the treatment of our dog.

Brought my poor itchy pup in, she's been miserable for a while with no signs of improvement. Perrysburg Animal Hospital offered kindness towards my large, reactive beast of a german shepherd. They were patient with her and allowed her time to adjust before getting on the floor with her and showing her so much love my girl is already on the up and up and had no itching last night after a single dose of medicine. I'm hoping for improvement and I feel confident in taking her back for her follow up in a few weeks. Thank you guys!

We've been long time patients. Everyone, from the first contact with staff at reception through our tech and veterinarian visit and check-out, is great; Friendly, caring animal lovers. This is a busy practice with many disciplines available for pet care. There have been several health issues over the years and our dogs have received the best care each event.Daycare staff are awesome and their grooming staff make your pup gorgeous!I would recommend PAH to any pet owner.

This place was awful, they were super useless. I texted their phone number and they led me to a different pet hospital, which was also awful. I'm very disappointed. This is my own experience and opinion with them, so please don't get offended.
