I talked to the owner and confirmed that my subscription would not be auto-renewed at the end of the year, and yet, they kept charging me. I only realized this when I got a new card and was contacted by a collections agency, Anytime Fitness didn't even give me phone call. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This kind of legal fraud is common with gyms that make you sign a contract. Do not trust this place. Also their equipment is garbage, the dumbbells are falling apart and yet its the most expensive gym in town. This place also smells terrible.

This gym is fantastic. It's got all the weights you could need for a good functional workout. The staff is knowledge, they care about if you succeed and they are no BS. I've been coming here for about 5 months. I'm seeing a lot of complaints about this place and most of them are complaints from people who are just playing the victims. This gym has an agreement for membership and anyone who complains that they didn't understand the clubs policies is lying or simply doesn't like their policies after they signed up. The girl that signed me up was straight forward with their entire membership/club policies.

*Edit: The gym's response to this review is like they did not even read it. This is specifically regarding my experience with Anytime Fitness in Piqua, Ohio with the owner, Nathan. For me, sign up was on an iPad, the fine print was tiny and I felt rushed to try to read through it all with the owner sitting there. I signed up for extremely expensive personal training and did not understand what it would cost to cancel.A week or two after signing, my husband's work schedule changed and I could not make personal training work with our son's needs and our work schedules. I contacted the owner, who blatantly lied to me at first and said "There is no canceling." Then, when I requested copies of the contract, read them myself, and pointed out that they stated I could cancel by paying almost $900, he argued with me by email in what I feel was a very condescending manner, telling me he would rather I just use the training sessions and can't I just get up at 5 am and go to the gym? After all of that, I brought a signed letter in person to the gym and paid the ridiculous sum of money to cancel the personal training, at which point I was still on the hook for twelve months of regular gym dues ($28.88 monthly) plus a higher once yearly charge for gym maintenance or whatever they actually spend that on.Here I am one year later, the final charge for the 12-month contract should have been April. I called the gym directly in April to confirm that the signed letter I turned in did state that I was canceling the personal training immediately did not wish to automatically renew the general membership after 12 months, but the phone is never answered and goes to voice-mail. I left a message and my call was never returned. I emailed Nathan, the owner, with no response. I was charged for May yesterday. I am now in the process of disputing charges with my credit card, which is a huge pain, and will have to send a registered letter.Bottom line: This was a very expensive mistake on my part, and I would urge others to not even consider it. The facilities are small and not particularly well maintained, my "Professional personal trainer" at that time was a (albeit very nice) 17-year-old high school student, and the customer service is nonexistent. I can only imagine this place is still in business due to income from people such as myself who end up paying large sums of money for absolutely nothing.

I can’t rate this place more than one star. It’s dirty and all the dumbbells are falling apart, but that’s not why I’m rating this place one star, they kept charging me for MONTHS after I cancelled my membership. If it had only happened to me, I’d chalk it up to a mistake but the exact same thing happened to one of my family members.

The staff is friendly, and exactly what I'd hoped EXCEPT I was charged for services I didn't want, I was charged more than advertised on top of that, the owner did NOT inform me it was a contract deal or else I wouldn't of gone through with it, didn't give me time to go through and read everything on his computer, I was there only 3 weeks, I got sick then my whole family did, they continued to charge me and have billed me almost $2,000 for not even a month of active use!!!! I even paid $100 up front (more than what was advertised)!! Owner had no response when I informed him he didn't inform me it was a contract. So staff is friendly, classes are good, but be prepared for a 1 year contract and be mindful of what your asking for and what he charges you.

This Gym is not LGBT friendly at all, I was wearing a pride shirt during my workout and when I went to change an older lady started accusing me of spying on her and told management who proceeded to tell me I can’t wear that to the gym anymore because it makes people “uncomfortable”. Definitely do not recommend this gym….Edit: The owner is saying I am confused with another gym and is refusing to take responsibility. These are the type of people at this gym, avoid it at all costs!

Nathan shelton is a joke. He tries to use intimidation on people. He’s nothing but a bully and I can’t wait for my attorney to tear into him!

These people are scam artists! Don't give your bank information to them! I signed up with a friend over a year ago, we both wanted to cancel when we left the job it was close to, they let her cancel but told me I couldn't. 3 months later, I have yo go to the original location I signed up at (40 minutes away instead of the one right by my house!) And took $280 in a single month when I canceled when the membership was $70! Don't waste your time or money. The facilities are lacking anyways....

I've been a member and personal training client for several months. The trainers Raajih and Bryce are amazing. They really encourage me to push my limits and make sure I am seeing my goals and always modifying my workouts and diet to continue achieving them!

I just started in May of this year and this is my first ever experience coming to a gym regularly. I usually have done team sports in the past, but Covid kinda ruined that. We just moved to Piqua in April and I needed something to do for my mental health. This place has helped so much with the wonderful trainers and wonderful people encouraging me to stay strong and get fit. I hope I continue to stay on track with my mental and physical health!

They have awesome motivated trainers who care about their job and a clean facility! Since it’s a small location, it feels more like a family. There is always space on the machines and space in the group training. They really care about you and your wellness journey!

I started my "fitness journey" last June of 2020. What an amazing experience! I was encouraged by my children and my first thought was: no way! Well fast forward and I'm continuing my journey 2021. I've learned so much about myself. It has made me strong mentally and physically. I've made a lot of friends that are encouraging and keep me accountable for my workouts...you know who you are....?. The trainers are just genuinely caring people. I hope to continue to progress and be the best I can. I encourage anyone that wants to improve their health and well being to join the ATF family!
