Exactly what you want in a local candy store. I understand that Penny Candy stores don't really exist anymore, but this is as close as you can get. They sell bulk candy by the piece and have a number of options to get a wide selection. They also have a wide variety of Salt Water Taffy if that's your thing.
Cute shop, wide selection, and friendly people.
Kid-friendliness: Absolutely a kid friendly shop.

Great choice of candies and toys. Kids loved mini shopping carts. Staff working were friendly once we approached counter to checkout.

Guess who decorated for Christmas? This and Thats Candy on Main. Beautiful Store. I have been in there before. Very nice staff. Very clean and organized. Big assortment of candy. Today is Sunday, they are closed. I was window shopping. Taking pictures. Loved their decorations too!!

Called because I live 45 Minutes away and when asking if they carry a particular type of candy the owner seemed rude and said " I'm shocked at the question because we are a candy store."

I always love coming here for candies you can't find anywhere else! They're always so sweet (pun intended ?) and if you ever have any questions they're always happy to help! I plan on getting my wedding goody bag candies here. Can't wait for my next visit ?

It's a little pricey, but they carry that candy you just can't find and or live without. Staff was absolutely sweet and very appreciative. I will go back again and again and again.
