Emily Traphagen Park is a beautiful and well-maintained green space that provides a peaceful respite from the surrounding suburban development. The park features tall trees, wetlands, a pond, and meadows that attract a variety of wildlife, including waterfowl like mallards, kingfishers, wood ducks, and great blue herons, as well as white-tailed deer. Visitors can enjoy picnicking under the park's shelter, which is described as clean, with sturdy picnic tables and well-kept grounds. The playground is a popular feature, especially the climbing rock, and the trails are easy to walk, allowing for a leisurely stroll through the different ecosystems. While the park is generally well-kept, with clean restrooms and a large parking lot, there are a few minor issues noted, such as a display board that has come unglued and some noisy swings on the playground. Overall, Emily Traphagen Park is a lovely community space that offers a variety of natural and recreational amenities for visitors to enjoy.
Very nice park. Three 1-2 mile trails with a variety of scenery and trail types. Playground for kids and facilities. Well maintained.

We enjoyed a relatively quiet and pleasant weekday picnic under the shelter there. Besides being small and well kept, the cleanliness was impressive. Picnic tables seemed fairly new, very sturdy and trash receptacle not overflowing. Grounds were green and shorn adequately. We plan to return sometime soon.
