We have seen so many employees talking and treating customers terribly for no reason, tons of attitude, unwillingness to help, etc. As someone who has worked in customer service before, I can understand how easy it is to lose your cool but there have been three instances we witnessed where the customer was asking a question nicely and calmly and they just lose it..My fiance and I had a poor experience and I'm happy to share it with corporate because the store manager is absolutely the problem.

I normally absolutely love this location. But today my AIR FORCE VETERAN boyfriend goes in for some supplies. And when he goes to check out, the lady who was there gave him a hard time over his VETERAN discount. Sha ACTUALLY ASKED for his DD214. When he replied that he didn't have it and doesn't carry it, shestated that ALL Veterans do. 1. We are an Army, Navy, and Air Force House.

Failed to sell us a stainless steel icemaker hose for a new refrigerator. Failed to provide for haul off of our old refrigerator. Would not help to correct the issue, but HD support people could help and told me it happens all the time.

I do not like writing reviews, but my attempt at buying a mower at this location was such a disaster I feel like it deserved one. I'm not even going to say anything negative, I'll just type out the timeline of events and you can make your own opinion of it. May 11th-Talk to employee at the store about buying a John Deere S160. Was told even though the floor model was gone to come back in the morning because they had 6 in stock. May 12th-Go back to the store to buy a mower. Different employee tells me they have no idea why someone else told me they had any in stock because they have 0. BUT, if I want to place an order I definitely should because they have some coming on Friday the 14th and it will be ready for me to pick up from the store after 10 am on Saturday the 15th. I buy a mower. May 15th-Talk a friend into breaking away from his weekend family time to go to the store with me in his truck to pick up the mower. Get to the store for yet a different employee to tell me they have no idea why anybody told me they were getting a shipment in because that wasn't true and they have no mowers. Stand at the desk for 45 minutes while the associate "clears everything up" and politely apologizes, gives me $80 back for all of the trouble, and promises me that a shipment is coming in on the 16th and I will have my new mower delivered to my house on either one of the 2 days I told them that I would be able to be home, the 19th or the 21st. May 19th-Receive a phone call from a different employee stating that my mower will be delivered on the 20th, the only day I asked them not to deliver it because I work 13 hour shifts and I didn't want a $3,000 mower sitting in my driveway all day long. Her response, "well so what, you live in a bad neighborhood or something?" May 20th-Receive a phone call while I'm at work at 7:45 in the morning from the Home Depot delivery guy picking up my mower from the Gahanna store asking me if I bought a used/damaged lawnmower because the mower at the store with my name on it had sun damage around the cup holder and had clearly been used. I politely called him back and thanked him for notifying me, but I informed him that I paid full price for a new mower. Mower stayed at the store. May 20th (later in the afternoon)-Receive a call from an employee at the original store stating that the shipment of mowers never came in and it would be in my best interest to just cancel my order and place a new one online. I asked them about the mower from this morning that was at another store with my name on it and they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Also, in order to get my money back I would have to stop by the store because I made the purchase with cash. I did not make the purchase with cash, I used a credit card. They would not return the money back onto my credit card because they were adamant that I used cash. I call the Gahanna store asking them if they had a mower there with my name on it. They said they did, but it was definitely used and had some damage around the cup holder. I go to that store after work and they at least thankfully returned the money back onto my credit card. Unfortunately they said the other store had already given me back $80, so there went the "discount" that the employee at the other store attempted to give me for my troubles. I tried to explain why I was given the $80 back, but I decided to not push my luck after I saw the very confused and puzzled look on the employees face. I asked her if the mower was still in the store because I would be interested in seeing it and hearing what the selling price would be, to which she told me "oh no, I'm sure they put it back on the truck and sent it somewhere else." On my way out the door I decided to walk by the mowers, which were located about 10-15 yards away from the desk I was being helped out. Of course there on the floor was the mower that the delivery guy had called me about from earlier in the morning. He kindly took a picture of the damage and sent it to me

I bought a new Weber grill here last month, was VERY excited about it, had been needing a grill but had other priorities. This location isn't too far from my house and I'd never really had questions about much or run into any issues at all. This time... not so much. Found the grill, went to customer service and asked that I get a new out of the box grill, not a floor model, not one that had been touched by countless people, just a new out of the box one built - which they do - and I'd pick it up in a few days. Was told not a problem, we'll take care of it and call you in a few days when the builder comes in, maybe Wednesday or Thursday. (This was Sunday around 1pm) so I agreed. Five hours or so later I get a call, builder came in today grill is built and ready for pickup. I go about an hour later to get it, they bring it outside, I help them load it in - not paying the attention I should have, and bring it home. Get it home, unload it, and realize the issue, tags are on it, dust and fingerprints everywhere - this isnt a new grill this is the floor model. I call the store, run down whats happened and get transferred to the manager, Heather. Heather listened to me and asked "what would you like me to do about it?" I listed off a series of reasonable suggestions, all of which she said no to. I never raised my voice, I never swore at her, just got "no". "no". "no". So when I ran down the scenario and asked her how she'd feel she refused to answer. Simply wouldnt be bothered and then hung up on me. Next day I went to a different HD in Gahanna on Hamilton and had the OPPOSITE experience I had here, which I'll review later. After I bought the 2nd grill (same model) I went to return this one and unfortunately lucked into Heather being there to accept the return. Didn't bother letting her know who I was, how she treated me, or anything, I decided if I wasn't going to get anywhere on the phone, get no answers, refusals to answer, and then hung up on, I wasn't going to cause a scene in a store because she chose to not understand the concepts of active listening or good customer service. I won't go back here again, I will continue to go to the HD on Hamilton and recommend that if anyone ends up having to speak to Heather about a problem, prepare to encounter a manager that doesn't care about your problem.

Employees are very knowledgeable and obviously have years of experience DIYing around the home. We have had some projects we weren't exactly sure how to execute. Went into Home Depot and the employees there pointed us in the right direction. They will open packages of screws to see if the fit is right for the piece we brought in. If you don't have the item, they will encourage you to buy several sizes and just return what doesn't work, even if the package is open. It's great, because you aren't risking buying the wrong ones and getting stuck with them.

It's very hard to obtain help, when you're asking for an employee. But, they ACTUALLY had the 3 gang box, that we needed for our electrical stuff. Menards didn't have what we needed. My hubby is the best journeyman electrician. (of course, I'm biased Lol)...So, they had the supplies that we needed for our project. PLEASE don't make us wait 15 minutes for help...

Ordered appliances they said were in stock and would be able to ship to my new house. Waited the day of moving in for 4 hours after moving my it up. They sent a confirmation email and text, to confirm date and time. They did not have the appliances and an no one called to advise they were not coming. Then were told they would be delivered 3 days later. They called a day later to tell me they were on back order until Jan 8th. Then was told that happens all the time and we are at the mercy of the vendor!!! Beware buying appliances for new homes!!!! They don’t care Ana won’t tell you this upfront!!!!

They don't require customers to wear masks. I drove there after being turned away at Menard's in Lewis Center.

Given my desire to tackle any project, Home Depot is definitely one of my top three retail stops weekly. Good friendly people and a desire to help DIYers. Just had to call out exceptional service this week. Had a warranty issue with a major appliance and the extended warranty company balked on the required support. I stopped in to talk to the team at the Orange Road store and they agreed with my issue and helped me through through coverage and resolution. We were so thankful. Thank you Ashley for your support and for digging in to help and working with your manager John to help us. You guys are the best. Glad to be a loyal customer.

I have been to many home depot store in various States and their customer service is always consistent. This location did not disappoint. The staffs are very friendly and super helpful. The staffs are also very knowledge in the area that they are working at. You can spend hours in Home Depot in getting ideas on home improvements or projects. We are thinking about renovating our home and we went to Home Depot on getting ideas on kitchen back splash and on blinds for the windows. The staffs there were extremely helpful on giving us ideas on how and what we needed to do to complete our projects. Home Depot is always a go to place for us when we are thinking about doing any type of renovation or repair to our house. The prices at Home Depot is also very reasonable.

Sometimes it's hit or miss with appliances. We have gotten great deals on some but then once went to get a dryer and the employee told us they don't stock them? He said "nobody does anymore", but I called Lowes and they had exactly what we needed. Other times there are friendly staff who go out of their way to help us find what we are looking for and really, that's most often.

Came in late this past Saturday to purchase a new Weber grill. It has been several years since I bought a grill as Weber last a long time. I encountered a gentleman named Pat and another gentleman in the same department. I asked "Which one of you guys knows the most about these grills as I have a few questions" The next thing I heard was the most horrible thing anyone has said to me in years. "Neither of us knows anything about grills" HUH? As I am walking away I said I will just go to Lowes, Thank You. Under Pats breathe I hear him say "I don't care where you buy a grill????? This is where we have come to in customer service of a store I have been coming to for years. I am a pro customer and spend on average 500K a year with home depot. All of my contractors use home depot because I have them use my pro account to purchase items. I then went to the desk and asked for the manager John who was busy. OK, please have him give me a call. Nothing.... Still angry the following day I call and who answers the phone John. I explained my situation and was informed he would chat with Pat???? That's it, not how can I make this right? What questions do you have about grills? Nothing. Still angry, I have called Home Depot corporate to lodge a complaint, I was informed I would hear from the store General manager Douglas???? Nothing again. I guess you are to busy to help a customer spend 2k to buy a new gas grill... I wonder why Amazon is killing it these days??? I fully expect them to be heartless. It is just a computer and my credit card. Somehow it seems like the right choice. I am completely disgusted with this store and I will be canceling all of my future business and move to Lowes with all my contractors. Maybe Amazon will be able to pick up a few Home Depot stores for distribution centers.

I am a seasoned general contractor, This used to be my go to spot for quality lumber and helpful employees. However for the past few months the quality and outright cleanliness of this lumber yard has sharply declined. When they dont have all aisles gated off with nobody working in them, there is usually product crossing the aisles which gets very frustrating. You want fresh drywall, forget about it. I would hope management has been notified and is trying to rectify the situation before it gets out of hand.
