The owner seems like a wonderful person. The community there, at least on the night I went, was incredibly new player friendly. Overall a wonderful place to play both Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic alike! Can't comment on costs but I would assume they're also super reasonable.

I use to go to this place a lot when I was younger and very big into video games. I just went here for the first time in a while and unfortunately wasn't as satisfied as I used to be. I bought three PS1 games and five PS2 games. Maybe I'm being crazy, but I didn't think I'd spend close to $100 total for games that are that old. Maybe I didn't realize that because there's no sticker on the games that list the price for each. Wish they had stickers that showed the price so that I know not to spend that much. Bring back the stickers!

Can't recommend this game store unless they are the only store with a game that you have nearby or you want magic cards (can only speak on buying collectable vintage games).I have been all around Columbus visiting game stores alike and although the location of the store is closest to me, I'd much rather go to others. When I was walking into the store in search of GameCube games for my collection I was met with a lot of magic the gathering players playing the newest pre-release event (which was more than alright and totally not a problem). However the issue was when we were waiting by the check-out counter for more than 20 minutes looking straight at employee's playing the event, and even walking past us when changing game clocks numerous times and walking back to their magic game. When finally approached by an employee, the attitude was 'sloth-ish'? to say the least. Not enthusiastic to help and was very short and unpleasant. Lastly, don't expect getting any deals here. Usually I am willing to buy more and more games if bargaining is on the table, which is common for any other game store I have been too for collectible games as no price is concrete. You can find much better deals for you money elsewhere.

The owner was the only one in the store when we came in. Asked us what we were looking for and when we said we were trying to complete the SNES library he insulted us “I don’t know why you would do that, I buy games to play” and started talking trash. And all his items have no prices, he just looks them up online and makes you pay exact value. Don’t even come, I figured after the last time I went 3 years ago it would’ve changed. But no, still a complete dump.If I could give it 0 stars I would

Ordered some cards on ebay from this store, I did not recieve them turns out the owner never sent them. The employee named matthew called him. The owner ignored me every step of the way. Matthew is a saint and went above and beyond what he should have. The owner however IS A CROOK. MULTIPLE REVIEWS ON HIS EBAY STORE CONFIRM THIS. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I SAY AGAIN OWNER IS A LIAR AND CONPLETE CROOK!!!!

I literally LOVE this place. One of the last surviving game stores that have console, cards, tabletop, retro, and they TRADE in those categories as well. Best offer you'll receive is from these delightful gamers. Go here and you'll never go to Gankstop again!

Solid selection to browse from. Vintage to New video games, accessories, collectibles, and trading cards. Atmosphere was welcoming and the owner was very personable. Fair prices as well!

I stopped in this store because I was in the area, and it popped up on Google Maps; I collect vintage games, particularly Sega. I was immediately greeted upon entering, asked where the Sega games were, and was appropriately directed. The sales associate kept attempting to engage me in conversation about games I was currently playing, what my favorite games were, and I entertained him for a few until I stopped responding because I really just wanted to look at the games. The selection wasn’t horrible, which is to be expected for Sega, especially for the latter systems, but there was absolutely nothing of note. The owner came out from the back area and literally proceeded to ask me the exact same questions as the previous associate. This is where things went south. I told him I was playing Fallout 76, and he then proceeded to argue with me about how everything after Fallout 3 was complete trash. Totally entitled to your opinion, but this person is attempting to buy something for you, you are telling them that their tastes are garbage. After that weird exchange, I mentioned that I was in for Sega. He told me what he had on the shelf was all he had (which is completely understandable, and the same at every vintage game store), but then told me that he really didn’t expect to ever be getting much else in because any game he gets that is valued over $20, he puts on his eBay site, and the store makes most of its money from cards. So, I gave this place a 3 because due to the bizarre customer experience, and that the name of the store is completely misleading. Pixel Palace Games is a completely legit name for a vintage game store. This is not a vintage game store; it’s a card store. Perhaps consider changing the name to Paper Palace Games, or even Papyrus Palace Games to tailor to the fedora’d gentleman.

A wonderful store with wonderful management. A great place to find just about anything you could need from video games to trading card games. They have Yu-Gi-Oh local tournaments on Saturday evenings at 5PM.

Great place to hang out and find cool stuff. The owner is really nice, the tables are always open to bring in friends and play board games, video games, etc., and they are really fair with values (even trade-ins, unlike game stop).
