I did some research on renting golf carts on Put-In-Bay arriving on the Miller Ferry coming from Catawba Island. Erie Island Carts had the best reviews so I went on their website and paid for a day's rental. I feel it was competitive and some of the other options only offered hourly rates with several negative reviews. When we arrived on the Miller Ferry, it was a short walk from the ferry location. I am sure you could call them and they would pick you up! When we got to their location, everyone was friendly, they had our information and cart ready, they handed us a Put-In-Bay map and gave us some pointers. Then we went to our cart and off we went, the cart was clean and ran great. The Island was beautiful and having a nice working cart made our day even better. Drop off was easy and we will rent from Erie Island Carts again.

So…….a little cheaper than right off of Miller ferry. About ¼” mile walk. They did have a cart ready to go, give them that….we used this cart to travel the island, on about the 4th stop the cart did not start. We lifted the seat to see that both battery contacts were completely corroded. We called the office and, conveniently no answer left a message. We called service and left a message. I even went to the website and emailed the company looking for some sort of help and communication……crickets….. in fact still over 1 week later and have yet to get a return call, text or email…….
We had to take a taxi back to the main office, where no one was at. Called again and they said just use the key in another cart and go about our day…..
As far as running a business goes, I could only imagine that someone needs to take a page out of this companies book, take money and never respond or help anyone. Genius! As for customer service…they could expect to step it up a notch, but at best guess the employees came to the island, saw the island life, embraced the island life and decided this was the life….customer service…..quite the comedy show!

Loved renting our cart here! Quick and easy process, bargain prices, and friendly staff! Will be coming here every time we visit the island!

The price of $40 for the day was a bargain. Check in/out only took a matter of a few minutes before we were on our way. The online reservation was simple and convenient. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the cart was very loud. It sounded like it was in need of a muffler. Also, the attendant wasn’t very personable. He wasn’t rude, but he wasn’t pleasant either.

Easy to reserve, walkable from the Miller Ferry, carts in good working order, no hidden prices and very easy check out and return cart process. Will definitely use again!

The employees told us that we could return @ 6:45PM to get an 8 person cart overnight.
We took our day rentals back and walked over to Erie Carts. They told us they did not have any to rent and that the person who made the reservation with us went home for the day (we could see him washing golf carts by the garage).
They made no attempt to correct their mistake and made us feel like we did something wrong.
Go anywhere but here. Their customer service is terrible and they have to issues lying to get out of promises they make.

Did some shopping around and it appeared that this place had the best rates for the island. Thirty five dollars for a daily rate , which is ten dollars or more cheaper than everywhere else I checked. We came on a Tuesday after labor day so the town was pretty barren and we were surprised we weren't offered more of a discount just due to how many carts were available and how dead the island was. Still a much better rate than all others I checked, including the hotel I was staying at.

Always excellent service, if any issues they are a phone call away. Gas powered carts that last aleast 7 days.

We have rented from several different places over the years and this is by far the best one. Workers are super friendly, carts are clean and great prices. They even have car seats so you don’t have to carry them over on ferry. Will use these guys from now on.

Erie Island was great to work with, the staff was very friendly and had my cart ready to go the moment I arrived to pick it up. Overall, I give them a 4-star review to leave room for improvement on their carts being a little more dated and slower than other competitions shops on the island. However, I give 5-stars for the staff, service and price and I would not hesitate to rent again from Erie in the future.

Had a very easy and carefree experience. But it seemed like the workers didn't care much about the process. Did not ask for ID, no proof of insurance, and I wasnt even required to fill out the entire form. Just asked to sign and move on. Very cheap compared to other places and you definitely get what you pay for. It got us around the island and it didn't break down but backfired a lot and was very loud and difficult to maneuver. Lots of cracked and broken parts everywhere including the windshield. Very old and rickety cart.

Rented here twice . First time I came to island and did not know there were events going on so I did not order ahead . Got to island no one had carts but they helped me find one . Second time I ordered online and worked out with no issues got there signed for it and rolled off. I'd say there prices are fair as well carts are in decent shape . I'll be back for sure . Try them out if you visit .

I wish I could rate 0 stars. DO NOT RENT from this place. Horrible customer service the first cart we got was making a horrible sound we thought it was going to fall apart on the way back. The second cart they gave us when we started to move it back fired & would not stay running. The tall blonde guy I don’t know if he was an owner or employee. He jumped in the cart & it wouldn’t move. Then pulled out the choke & says you have to keep choke out for it to run, tried to take off again wouldn’t move. Then when finally got it to move he took off, he almost flipped it & hit me. He was screaming/cussing, swinging his hands up at my husband saying there was nothing wrong with it. That this is what we get deal with it!! We had to keep choking it due to it would not stay running! It did not run right the whole time we were there. Never had to do this with any other golf cart we have had or rented! We paid almost 300.00 to rent a piece of crap. AGAIN DO NOT RENT from this place! I have never in my life seen a place talk/act this way to a customer!!!!!!
