Refused to pickup a connected tank after notifying them within our contract terms that were switching suppliers. They turned off the propane to our house and refused for months to pick it up after calling a third party contractor to disconnect. I would give 0 stars to this company. Customer service was awful, unresponsive and disrespectful to get any updates or answers. I’ve never seen such awful management and would recommend literally any other supplier

Every service person who has come out was friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate.
Currently waiting on a service call to install a Shark Fin tank level sensor on my tank so I can remotely monitor my tank level.

Terrible company with awful customer experience. Every year I’ve had to call to get a tank fee waived because I hadn’t filled up yet. It’s two-three hours work of conversation (if that’s what you call it) trying to explain to the hardly intelligible person in whatever budget call center they’re using to answer calls. We ran out of propane this year because a driver randomly decided our tank was too close to the house and he couldn’t deliver. Despite us reaching out several times, not one person we could speak with had any clue when and what would happen. A while later they came out to move our tank (a guy drove from Michigan because ‘they’re so far backed up and don’t have staff’ - according to the driver). No follow up from that point. Then arbitrarily a refill guy comes and fills the tank to full, 138 gallons more than we requested and now we are being told we don’t have a choice but to pay the extra $400 for something we didn’t order. As I said, the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with. You’ve even beat out Spectrum.

Would highly recommend staying away from Amerigas for propane services. Have used them for about the last 5 years. Prices are outrageous on top of poor service. Have since terminated services with them and switched to a better, local company (Powers Propane) that is cheaper and has much better customer service. I terminated services with Amerigas several months ago and after multiple phone calls to terminate and pick up the tank, they have yet to pick it up. After my 3rd time requesting a pick up, I again spoke with somebody who speaks broken English and is difficult to understand. She advised she was going to put in an expedited tank pick up. They request that somebody is there when it is picked up, however, when I asked if she could give me an approximate pick up time/date for this expedited service as I have a crazy schedule just like everyone else, she advised that she did not know and could not give me any sort of time frame. I requested a pick up a few weeks prior in which the guy told me they would be out at 2:00 on a specific date, however, the tank was never picked up and I never got any notification that they had even been there. On top of it still sitting in my backyard next to my new tank with the new propane provider for the past several months and no pickup occurring, I was advised that it will be $300, that includes 2 different service fees, to have the tank picked up. Stay away from this company. You will have nothing but issues, and after reading other reviews, I know I am not the only one.

I had tried to get a propane fill since Nov, 2023. My tank was at 30%. I called several times in Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb with no fill. I was paid ahead over $1300 because I am on the monthly payment plan. I ran out of propane on the coldest week of the winter & they left me 5 days with no heat & no fill. After multiple calls from me & my daughter, we finally got gas on the 6th day. They set the fill to stop at 200 gal. The delivery person called in to get it set so I could get my tank filled. There was no since in such incompetence since I had paid so much & so far in advance.

The call center in India is terrible. We are on automatic delivery, but I had to call twice to get propane because the tank was below 10%. The call center kept referring me to online, but that was no help. Go back to having local customer service!

Ordered propane never received it reordered it 10 days later only received it on the 10th day because I called they wanted to bring it on Monday and I was on 3% by the time they did have someone come around to bring it thank goodness for the help from California you're scheduling people are out of control but I am thankful that I got it before it ran completely out

Customer service is HORRIBLE. I talked to 4 people before I could get a delivery. They spoke very broken English and were difficult to understand. Delivery guys are great. Would NOT recommend this company if you are looking for a new one.

I was denied propane delivery for an issue with my tank that no one informed me about.
After calling all the available numbers and always getting the same call center in India I was left with no idea of the nature of the problem. I could not understand what was being said. I was also told that a repair of something needed to be performed. This would take several weeks to schedule but it had already been several weeks since the problem, whatever it was, had been identified. Again, I was not notified that there was an issue. Who repairs the tank? Why would I need to schedule the repair? It is not my tank, I rent it, and I did not know that there was a problem in the first place.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.
All this happened when my tank was only 10% full. By the time someone was dispatched to fill the tank, it was at 5% and the temperature was about to drop to zero degrees fahrenheit for several days.
I called at least ten times and waited on hold for 20-30 minutes on several of those calls.
Then, when the driver told me what the problem was, a light fixture, I promptly removed it.
Still, I had to call again several times to get the tank filled because no one cleared me for a regular delivery after my emergency 100 gallons was delivered.
Unbelievably horrible customer service. I cannot believe I have been a customer for 15 years and get treated this way.
Perhaps there are other propane providers in the area.
I'll have to look into that.

Propane was ordered over 2 weeks ago, still haven’t received. We are now rationing our supply as we are almost out and it’s below freezing temperatures!
