Horrific Giant Eagle. It was like entering a time capsule. This place needs a D11 dozer to take it out of its misery. This was more like a Giant Pigeon than an Eagle.

Wow what to say? Usually Giant eagle is pretty decent. Large store with lots of selection and plenty of smiling faces. Unfortunately I live in Richfield and this is the closest Giant eagle. I wasn't sure why they kept this small giant eagle opened but now I know why. I have come to the conclusion that this Giant eagle is their dumping ground. This is where they send their employees who have attitude problems and are just poor for their image. Rather than destroying the reputation of one of the large stores they can simply dump these employees here. I received nothing but attitude at this store. I had an issue with an item that I purchased and after waiting in a long line on a Friday the cashier directed me to the customer service counter which was vacant. I could tell by the scowl on her face that she despised everyone there. I waited at the customer service counter for a while and finally an individual named Joanne finally showed up probably getting off her half hour or hour break. She took one of her friends and dealt with her problem even though I was first in line. When she was done she turned her back to me and would not respond. She said at the desk playing on her phone. Very unprofessional. I did nothing wrong to these people. All that I asked for is some customer service and was denied that. Giant eagle should do themselves and their reputation a favor. They should fire every employee in this place and close this store. I'm serious about this and I have thought about this a lot before this review. This is not an angry review this is a frustrated review because this is a store that I would love to have in my backyard however the way that it operates is truly frustrating. Customer service is not in short supply it is non-existent. The attitudes there are very plentiful. Truly disappointing.

I love my little neighborhood giant eagle... It doesn't have everything the big stores do, but it has really friendly faces and the essentials... They have definitely made it through a difficult time with the pandemic and are struggling a bit with not enough employees, but they still provide the best service possible. Would not want to live down the street without them!! Lynn - Richfield

When I walk in to this grocery store, I feel like I'm walking into a barn back in time. The building is old and not a traditional looking grocery store. It also has a non-traditional layout and is smaller than most Giant Eagle stores. It feels like 1985 inside this store. And I don't mind that. In fact, I kind of like it. Unfortunately, the prices aren't the same as back in 1985! The location is near where my daughter plays volleyball, so I usually have some time to burn. The quality of the meats and produce are good, as expected. They have pretty much everything you'll need on your list, but due to the smaller footprint, there is less product selection. For the folks that live in this area, there aren't a lot of grocery shopping options, so this place is probably very convenient for them. It is also located next to the beautiful Richfield Heritage Preserve. I recently bought non-winning lottery tickets here. That's about the only complaint I have. Just kidding :-)

Deli packaging has recently become very annoying as it is wrapped with the stick in a way where it's almost impossible not to tear the bag. Have to use a new resealable bag every time I buy something there.

This is most definitely the store the franchise forgot. It has nothing I needed. Giant Eagle has a reputation for having everything. I don't expect certain items to be at an Aldi or Drug Mart. But I always stop at GE for specific items. And this one had none of them. I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to a better store than stop here again.

We needed to grab a couple of things from the grocery store after visiting my sister so we stopped by this Giant Eagle since it was close. I've never seen a Giant Eagle like this. Without the sign, I would never know it was a Giant Eagle. The outside looks like a German style building. It's very small compared to other Giant Eagles. I think it used to be a locally owned grocery store. We found everything we needed (we didn't need much). Almost everyone was wearing a mask. No complaints here!

The only reason this GE is here, is because it has a State Liquor store inside. GE is really dumb, they should have left the North Royalton store alone (the remodel destroyed it) and remodeled this dump instead for half the cost. We remember when Grandma used to shop here and it was a tudor style Stop n Shop or Country Counter or something like that, many years ago. It is not sanitary and needs to be scrubbed clean and overhauled. The shopping cart lobby seriously needs lighting, it is very dark, damp and dangerous. Go to this store on a foggy, night and it is downright creepy, expect a few ghosts to jump out of the surrounding bushes. Keep it small but clean and update the place, please. The idiots from surrounding developments like it because it makes them feel like they are shopping in the country. Country shops at piggly wiggly.
