Have bought and sold with them on numerous occassions... totaling tens of thousands of dollars each way. They are pretty laid back about things and have always been understanding and accommodating. Their fees are better than many other auctioneers. I bought a safe/vault off them and they did a nice job obtaining and providing the combination (while also not giving it to everyone that saw the item). I've sold and bought several arms and accessories. They have gone so far as to deliver things to a dealer near me, across the state line, to make things easier on my end and without shipping cost.... that is exceptionally good service. When I've gone to pickup items, they have always been professional. Overall, I've had 20+ good experiences dealing with them. Have no apprehension about sending things for them to sell but would suggest anyone selling things give them as much information as possible. I've had good luck with leaving them an index card with the information that might help my item sell (which they've then put on the listing description). Auctions can be stressful and busy and some people get butt-hurt about losing things, which likely accounts for some of the reviews. I'm sure in the thousands of things they sell there have been legitimate issues as well. The only slightly negative thing I can say is sometimes it can be hard to figure out which building you are picking up from.
I've had some glitches with connectivity but a lot of people don't realize that's likely their own internet connection... constantly updating audio, video, and the website refreshing for bids will bring out the worst in network latency.

So, this is how Baer Auctions treats its customers!!! Some weeks ago, I bid on an auction they are having through their websites using my login. I've bid on their website many times before with success. So as the auction starts drawing to the close date, I get updates that my auto bid has been increased due to another's bid and in some cases, I've increased my Max bid. Again, all through their website, my login on THEIR website. So, yesterday the auction closed and I get "4" email that I've won 4 of the items I've bid on, WOOHOO! I called this morning and asked if I can come today and pick up the items that I've "won"? Sure. I drive 65+ miles from Pittsburgh to Baer's in Rodgers, Ohio only to be told that the auction that I bid on thru their website was actually thru Proxbid and that I did not win any auction items. Katrina has no explanation other than there was a mix up with their site and Proxbid. As I ask her how is she going to make this right: in walks suction owners, Ken Baer and sister Holly Baer. I explain the situation to them and all he can say is to stammer and say is that I got an email yesterday from brother Wade Baer. I did not! I check my phone for emails from Wade or Baer auctions, nothing. Sister Holly says maybe it went into "spam", we check, nothing! The only emails in my entire system are my updates on bids and "you Won!" emails. I ask brother Ken, "how are you going to make this right?" Again, he stammers and has no answer other than " that auction went through Proxbid. Nowhere on their site did it say "if you wish to bid on these items go to Proxbid of through Proxbid". This company is supposed be professional and has many years doing this! This is not their first rodeo. So, beware when you deal with this auction house. They have no customer service sense!

The auctioneers care not only about the consignors, but the buyers as well.

Went to pick up items from online .auction. Workers were rude, some standing around not helping while the line to check in got longer. Made you pick up your items in number order even if you needed to load large items first. Very unorganized. Not sure I would buy from them again.

No one wearing masks, definitely not the workers. Everything was a mess, people arguing, no signs, no dedicated way things were getting done. Parking was dangerous and all over the place, nothing organized. I just can't see going through all that again when other companies do things so much better.
