The Salem Community Center is a great place with many options for exercise, including track, soccer, basketball, weight training and a very large, nice swimming pool that is clean and well-maintained. The exercise equipment is newer. It is a clean facility with rooms available for events at great prices. Some note the memberships are a bit overpriced. It can get very crowded by the workout machines, and the parking lot is crazy during sports changes. Kids are not allowed in the workout room at all. There have been a couple of rude encounters with staff.
Great pool and water aerobics with a wall of windows and natural light; clean sauna, hot tub and changing rooms; the gym is well equipped and cleaner than most with a private feel and no rude people interrupting; a long ride for me but worth it — the membership includes more than the Y, too!
