Good for the Cedar Point trip because it's pretty close. This room was horrible, although clean and the cheapest around, according to booking.com. However, we STILL paid 140 dollars for a flimsy mattress, noisy fan thing in the bathroom and an ac/heater up towards the ceiling so you have to step on a chair to adjust the tempature of the room. I did NOT sleep well. I woke up several times throughout the night trying to move positions because parts of my body were falling asleep, and then I'd have pain in my hip or pain in my elbow, which is the weirdest thing.
There is not a fridge in the room, no coffee pot. There's a big safe, lol. It's noisy.
Perks, I guess, Hot water in the shower with decent pressure.
It does have a heated indoor pool, but it's in a separate building. The rooms we stayed in are private entrances off the parking lot. They do have other rooms inside another building across the parking lot where the indoor pool is.
In that building, there are 2 ice machines, but there is a sign stating that you should not use this ice machine to fill up your coolers, if so you will be charged a fee. There's also a drink machine at $3 per drink, and there is a coin-operated washer and dryer.

Room was clean. Thought the faucet was going to break in the shower before it finally turned on. Had to get on chair to turn on heater. Couldn't tell what the temperature was sent on because the knob was broken. Room phone wasn't connected to call lobby. And the number on phone was disconnected to call front desk.
Nearby activities: Only 5 minutes to Cedar point.

The room was OK, the staff was friendly, however, after charging my card the room fee, upon check in, they charged me another 2.00, after telling me they werent charging me. The hotel owners mom made sure to hurry and grab up the room keys from me before i was able to ask about the 2.00 un explainable fee charged on my credit card, i was Not given an explanation other than it is probably sports car money, almost ruined my trip to get hit with more fees for nothing, so just make sure you get your 2.00 worth of hotel soap or something, Lol

We stayed here for a trip to Cedar Point. Actually, we did not stay here we checked in and decided we would just eat the cost of the room and go somewhere else. I figured for $90/night and because it was on the Choice hotels app that it wouldn’t be fancy but it would be acceptable. It was not acceptable. It was old and run down, holes in the blankets and creepy people in the parking lot. The final straw was the black mold in the utility closet. I wanted to cry at the thought of staying so I just didn’t. I told them about the black mold and emailed Choice about my concerns but I was never refunded. I highly recommend that you not stay here.

I paid $92 (including tax) to stay here on a Saturday 9/7/24 on a night where most every hotel in Sandusky had little or no vacancy. I felt like I barely got a room that night, as I had no advance reservation.
The front desk staff here is professional and competent.
There is a very good and modern color security camera system to extend eyes on and around the property. Seems like they have a local tow truck driver on call for parking issues. My car didn’t get broken into. Seems like this hotel is situated in a low income and working class neighborhood. It was quiet overnight.
The entire property is run down, beat-up, and has seen better days. It felt like a mid 20th century movie set.
The room I stayed in did not have much of any hint of third-hand smoke. And that’s good. Many motor lodge style hotels do. The hot water took several minutes to flow. That’s a big waste of water, no? The blankets had holes in them. The shower curtain had brown stains. The towel bar was broken off the wall. There was a patched up hole in the wall. The furniture was old, uncomfortable and sticky. The beds were firm and typical of any cheap motel room. There were scratch marks on the headboard, likely from rings on fingers. The room had a basic level of functionality, but, I did feel like I was paying at the high end of the market for it.
I would stay here again under similar circumstances, but only if the room rate was more like $50-$70.
What more can I say about the place?

Stephanie, two different nights provided Top-Notch service! She was personable, attentive, and aware! Rooms were super clean both times(had a smoking room and couldn’t tell)!
Pool was clean & close to everything!

The staff walk into the rooms at all hours without notification of why they are entering the rooms. It's noisy and staff is very rude. Anyone giving this place full stars has to be an employee or paid cause it's awful.

I liked the hotel, it has some very good things, for example, its pool is very nice, but something worth highlighting is the attention of the very pleasant staff. The person in charge of customer service reception is very friendly and Mrs. Sandy who is in charge of cleaning does a good job keeping the customers happy and the rooms clean.
The only thing I didn't like was that we didn't have a microwave in the room, which is definitely very important. Maybe they can improve this for next time.
For everything else I am very satisfied with this hotel I think the atmosphere is good and the parking lot is big so I think I will come back next time.

My sister and I stayed 2 nights to go to Put in Bay. The rooms were clean, the staff was respectful and we had no issues at all. We will definitely go back and next time we will sure to use the indoor heated pool. Thank you Steph for everything

I stayed 2 nights while visiting cedar point. The lady in the office was so nice. The room was clean. My only complaints were that the ice machine was out of order ( small bags of ice were available upon request in the office) and most of the outlets need repaired. Overall it was a good value for the price paid. I plan to stay again during my next cedar point trip.

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight on July 25, 2024. I don't usually stay at this type of motel but my boyfriend had stayed at this hotel every year for his birthday since he was a kid due to Cedar Point being so close.
We awoke at 8:00 am to something biting us. We jumped out of bed and threw back the sheets to discover BED BUGS!!!! To our horror, we were covered in bites. We immediately went to the front desk, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. The hotel clerk was not even bothered by the fact we were attacked by bed buds, he simply said "I'll leave a note for the manger, have a great day." We were shocked at the response and immediately called Choice Hotels which was not helpful as we were told that it was up to the hotel to make it right and to give them a chance to compensate us for our experience. Not only did we pay $101.00 to stay at this awful motel but we had to throw out our belongings to ensure we didn't bring any bed bugs into our home.
Rooms: Outdated, disgusting and filled with bed bugs.
Nearby activities: Cedar Point is close by.
Noteworthy details: This hotel offers bed bugs at no cost to you.
