Great place to stay when visiting Cedar Point! The road to get to the causeway is one right turn away. The rooms were nice too with comfy beds, and spacious. Breakfast was alright with a pancake maker and some carbs. If you're looking for a place to stay with for a reasonable price, South Shore Inn has got your back!Food & drinks: Complementary water bottles when checking in. A vending machine is inside too, with complementary breakfast in the morning.

The king bed rooms are perfect cozy size for a couple. The breakfast was a little sad and there was a druggy that walked in for a garbage bag and creeped us out. But otherwise the staff is great and the location is amazing.

Nice location if your going to Cedar Point. 5 minutes from the entrance and not expensive at all. The service was amazing. They gave us bottled water as soon as we came in. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and clean. The pool was very refreshing, sure it’s older and outside but it was clean and well kept. The room was decent. The cooling system needs updated but other than that it was clean and well kept. Definitely would stay here again

Very nice independent hotel.. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Gave us bottled water when we checked in. Pool was nice. 8 ft deep and two slides and a hot tub. Rooms were very clean. Will definitely stay again. Best balance of quality and price I have found near Cedar Point. Breakfast was pretty good. Channel selection on the TV was also pretty good. My only complaint would be that their WIFI is a little weakRooms: The room was very clean with plenty of towels. Bed was a little soft for my taste, but still slept fine.Nearby activities: Just easy of the entrance to Cedar Point. Best mixture of price and quality that I have found nearby.

Took my son to Cedar Point on a impromptu weekend getaway before school started and wasn't even sure where we were going to stay. While in the parking lot leaving Cedar Point, I selected this little gem in Sandusky. Very close to Cedar Point and anything you need while staying in Sandusky. From the moment we checked in until the end of our stay, the family who owns it were kind, attentive and personable. The free waters were a nice touch. We stayed in a King room located within the main building. The minute we walked in, my son said this is the best room we have ever stayed in. Normally we are Hilton or Drury type of people. So it is not like we have been staying in run down places. The room was completely remodeled and it showed well. The tub was huge and the jet spa was a nice welcome after two days of roller coasters and water slides. The pool was impressive and conveniently open late to accommodate those who spent the day at the parks. The price was reasonable and lower compared to other places on the same strip. The prices always fluctuate in the area based upon the season and tourists coming to the parks. If you are looking for a clean, safe, nice family friendly place to stay...this is it.Safety: Very safe area.Food & drinks: Breakfast was good. Very close to other restaurants.Noteworthy details: Kudos to the family who owns this property and put the work in to it.

Independently owned motel in Sandusky, affordable priced, clean, with a beautiful pool and hot tub, very friendly staff, comfortable mattresses, and peaceful! My daughter forgot her squishmellow there they and they went beyond to get it back to her. I would absolutely recommend it. I’d say my only thought would be to add a handheld shower because I was way too tall for the shower head! :)

Great place outside cedar point to go and crash. Had comfy beds, no one was loud after 11. That's when the pool closes. Basic, but decent breakfast in the morning. They have a really neat "smart" pancake maker. And I must say they came out just right. ?Rooms: Clean, somewhat newer, decent beds and bedding.Nearby activities: Right around the corner from cedar pointe entrance.Walkability: Nearby restaurants like the thirsty pony. They have a pretty big menu, kid friendly, and last food orders are at 11 pm. Last call at 12.

Only minutes down the road from Cedar Point. Rooms were clean, the grounds were well-kept. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast was nice. We plan on coming back again!

On a whim we (fam of 4) decided to do a second day at cedar point and needed a place for the night. I was actually super impressed with this place. I tend to stay away from motel looking types but it had good reviews so why not. Staff was very helpful and friendly, room was clean and had what we needed. Pool and hot tub looked clean, they have washer and dryer also. I would 100% stay here again.

It is a decent little hotel and a great location. We booked a 3 night stay. Everything was fine until we spent the day at Cedar Point and came back to our room open/unlocked. The person(I’m assuming the maid) came in to change out the garbage and stock the room with clean towels, which was so nice of them. However, they left our room open by putting the metal swing lock in between the door and the frame so the door wasn’t shut all the way. How long was it like this? We’ll never know. I about died. Never has this happened to me in the many hotels I’ve stayed at. Simply unacceptable. I called the office and it was like they did not know what to say. They offered me a handful of crickets as a consolation. They made sure to charge my card for every penny though. If that were my business, those guests would be staying the night for free! Just saying. Luckily nothing was taken so I am just grateful for that in itself.

This hotel is very close to Cedar Point. If you consider how close it is to Cedar Point you can't beat it. Everything else this close is considerably more expensive. I rate amusement parks all over the place. I decided to give this place a close look. This room is very clean. Definitely no bugs at all. They did a great job taking care of it. It's definitely not fancy. Then again, if you are reading this review, I don't think you were looking for that anyway. I sincerely don't have anything bad to say about this place. The pool is wonderful and so is the hot tub. That makes it kind of wow for the price. It's a great place to stay if you're visiting Cedar Point and don't want to spend a lot of money.

In a world of franchise's and chains, and this area has more than its fair share of them, it's nice to go to an independant business (or at least I think this is). The staff here were exceedingly freindly and the pool, while it looks fairly plain, was a real winner with the kids. It was just me and my son on this stay and he made friends immediately with a bunch of kids and they had a blast in the pool. I enjoyed that this place has a very Jersey Shore vibe. If you picked this whole place up and dropped it somewhere like Wildwood NJ, it'd be the Taj Mahal of the area. That said, the rooms are dated and in need of upgrade. They're not in disrepair, they're just old, and looking it. Personally, I'd start with the beds/bedding, then move to the bathrooms. Nothing particularly fancy, just updated.

Nice little motel situated in a great location to cedar point. Price was not bad and very competitive for an independent location. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Air worked great, able to get very cold if needed. Easy to walk to the nice pool/ hot tub and to the front for the breakfast buffet in the morning. They had pancakes, hard boiled eggs and cereal options, along with some fresh fruits and breads. Theres a grill/BBQ area and play ground out back. Over all it was a nice place to stay a few days.
