I stayed back in June 2024, on my annual theme park trip around the country, first impressions was eh as the hotel was very dirty on the exterior and needed severe power washing. The hotel was overall very clean and charming with a historical look to it. I had the 2 queen bed suite executive and it was nice, the balcony was super small and with it being a double suite it was still small so I could only imagine a normal room size. The hospitality was amazing for a theme park company hotel. I stayed for 8 nights and each night housekeeping came and cleaned the room and etc when I never asked, and when your paying this amount of money, you would assume for good hospitality at best, but it went beyond my expectations. I would gladly return.

All in all the hotel is great. Location, location, location. We have stayed here for years and only problem we ever had was getting late night food

My feelings is hurt. This review is in real time right now. My room is a mess. It's HAIR everywhere. It's BLOOD in MULTIPLE places. I'm grossed out. Called front desk using my room phone and they said someone will be up ,,,( someone came.to clean it ) I'll like another room... Waiting on her to come. Back and also calling the front desk. Early check in doesn' matter if it's dirty ðŸ˜
I have anxiety .I'm speechless . My chest hurts .
Changed rooms. Little to no complaints here so far. Team served to make it right .
Rooms: Dirty

we frequently stay at either hotel breakers or lighthouse point, always stay onsite, usually 8-12 nights per year.
we stayed October 10-14 in a Horizon Suite on the third floor of Breakers East this time.
Suite is HUGE! Massive balcony with a breathtaking view of the lake, enough for 5 of us to feel not crowded. Nice dining area with table and 4 chairs, wetbar, living room with sleeper sofa and chairs, big bathroom, and hot tub in the king bedroom. Our hot tub was not working the first night, and maintenance was unable to fix it, they sent someone up the second day, here, you have to hit the switch a certain way and it worked. They actually refunded us close to $400 since we could not use it the first 2 days!
and lemme tell you, after walking miles and miles through the park in some cool weather, sometimes rainy, coming back to the room achy and wet, sitting in your own hot tub is wow.
We ate at the Following:
TGI Fridays: they were out of some fried foods the first night, but we made due. The service was really great
Tomo: always a fun time!
Famous Daves: a nice little vacation from the vacation, good food and service
Perkins: our waitress was fantastic and made the little 4 year old giggle a lot
Farmhouse: we seldom eat in the park as we prefer places with table service, but walking past this place, the smell draws you in, it's hypnotizing- so, we took the bait, and let me tell you it did NOT dissapoint! The chili was probably some of the best chili I have ever had, and the biscuits were so good!
This wasn't really a "riding" trip for us, we enjoy the atmosphere and food and beverage, we sometimes do a "barhop" in the park (again, we aren't driving, just walking back to the hotel) so some of the favorites are last chance saloon (the bartender recognized us from day to day), red garder, and the grand pavilion- this new edition is fabulous. very lively, very bright, when you walk in, it smells like you're walking into the windjammer restaurant on a royal Caribbean cruise ship. it's a bit expensive but nice.
Service in the park was outstanding. we played some games and won, and bought a couple hundred dollars worth of swag at the shops in the park- they actually took our room info and had them delivered back to the hotel so we would not have to lug them around the park, which was sweet!
The lady working at the snoopy store helped me to pick out gifts for my great nieces and nephew, she walked around with me and made suggestions, it was great!
Cedar Point has really stepped up its game- not that they were ever bad, but I didn't realize it could get better!
My only suggestion, and I know this is widely unpopular: there should be at least one smoking area inside the park. The downside to not having this is that people have to exit at the gates and smoke out there, so those who are entering the park have to walk through it. if they took the area where the paddlewheel used to be, where there is no foot traffic, and made it a smoking area, it would be nice. honestly I would end up spending a lot more time- and money- in the park as I would not need to keep leaving, could get our drink on and then go have a smoke.
Looking forward to a 5 night trip in June at lighthouse point, and a horizon suite for 4 nights in October 2025! Countdown has already begun!

Stayed for halloweekends and had a very nice trip. The line to check-in did not have a fast pass and took about 30 minutes. Besides the long check we had a very nice stay. Being close to the park makes visiting cedar point much more enjoyable as I need an afternoon nap before staying at the park until midnight

Rooms are not bad but they are not great, if this hotel were somewhere different than the park i would probably not recommend it, but because it comes with other perks i will.. i will say if you have the extra money just do it. But know that the extra money you are paying is not for the quality of the hotel itself but because of the perk you may get if you stay in the hotel.
Rooms: they are ok. A bit too expensive for what you get.
Nearby activities: 1 min walk to Cedar Point entrance.
Food and drinks: There are a few restaurants within the hotel area, I only visited TGI Friday, it was ok.

Just stayed here October 24, 2024 and October 25, 2024 and I have to take a moment to brag on two staff members we experienced. Cassandra gave top notch customer service. She was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and went over and beyond. Her colleague Jack, was also a delightful person. This can help change your whole stay when you make great interactions like that! That was a great way to start off the trip with that form of greeting.

The rooms were outdated and dirty. AC unit smelled as it blew particulate throughout the room. My room also had a faint sent of cat urine. The only saving grace is the location to the park. With room prices being upwards of $300 a night, you would expect more. Very disappointed and won't be back.
Get ready to stay at Grandma's house.

(Originally stayed September 20th-23rd 2024)
So I'm finally getting around to writing a review for The Breakers Hotel, and I must say the
entire stay was amazing!
My parents and I decided to stay in the Lakeview Horizon Suite for my Dad's birthday for Halloweekends, and it was nothing but memorable!!
The room was clean, bright, had spectacular views of Lake Erie. It also had plenty of space for everyone as well. The whirlpool tub was a favorite of my Mom's, and the screened in porch was nice to sit in and enjoy the sunny mornings.
The Hotel also had a great boardwalk area and outdoor pool (also an indoor pool but did not go) and a beautiful sand beach as well.
We enjoyed having meals at the Perkins as well as Friday's Restaurants inside the hotel, and the staff was also friendly and excellent with their service.
Another great perk was being able to enter the park an hour early.
The entire stay was top notch, and I'd highly recommend The Hotel Breakers to anyone looking to have a memorable and fun time!!

Rooms: Nice and clean. But a suite costing a bit over $500 a night, not the best. Small area, no hair dryer, could not figure out how to start microwave. Oh and the room with 2 queen beds had the smallest tv. And we are using the sofa pullout for 2 children which we had to make yet wait for bedding which was not available. Not bad, just not at all worth the price.

My rating is an average score due to the fact I had a bad and good experience this weekend. I have stayed numerous times at Hotel Breakers and never had an issue as bad as I did this past weekend. The room that we usually booked was not available so we booked a different room. When I walked into the room, it smelled musty and moldy. I just figured it wasn't used in awhile. I went to decorate the window and the window was covered in spiderwebs. That night I had a large spider in the shower and one on the bedroom ceiling. When I opened the drapes in the other room in the morning, there was another large spider. I called the front desk and they were going to send maintenance. When I left the room, housekeeping was in the hallway and I requested that the windows be cleaned. I came back in the afternoon and the windows were not cleaned and it didn't look like maintenance had come. I called the front desk again and maintenance showed up. He quickly glanced and asked where the spiders were. He took one off of the window and threw it in the hallway. The other spiders were on the ceiling so I didn't mention that to him because the way he dealt with the spider, he wouldn't have been able to reach them. I then asked if he could do something about the seal around the window air conditioner because that's where the spiders were coming in. He pushed on the seal that was already there and told me to call if there were any more spiders. My sister came to my room and couldn't believe the number of spiders that were around the window and she called the front desk. Finally someone came to the room with bug spray and killed several of them. He also sprayed around the air conditioner. I asked if someone could seal around the air conditioner and he said he would send someone else. While we waited, we had killed another large spider. When my son went back to the room, he told me know one had shown up. He pulled out the sleeper sofa and the mattress felt damp. He looked like under the mattress and found what looked to be mold. I went to the front desk to complain and show them the picture of the bed. Kev the night supervisor was fantastic. He asked if I was willing to change rooms since it was so late at night. I told him I didn't have a choice. I couldn't have him and his girlfriend sleep on a moldy bed. He gave us a room in the location we requested. I was so grateful to Kev. If he wasn't so helpful, I don't know what I would have done. The first day and the half, the room and service deserve 0 stars. The next two nights, the room and service deserve 5 stars.
