“Overall, this was a decent car-buying experience. As expected, I was there for a full afternoon (about 4 hours) and test drove 2 cars while there.
My salesman was newer, but did a good job.
Something you need to know before going - they do not allow any sort of negotiation. I did see ‘no-haggle pricing’, but figured I’d be able to get a little help here or there - that wasn’t the case. I asked doc fees to be picked up by the dealer, no. I asked for $600 off the asking price, no. I asked for a full tank of gas when I picked up the car (I went alone to the dealer), no - apparently they have a $10 limit on used cars. That last one really killed me - I had over an hour drive home and picked my Gladiator with 1/4 tank of gas.
The paperwork process was long, as expected, but explained well and I understood what I was signing. Their ‘finance guy’ as I called him tried to upsell GAP insurance for what felt like a pretty insane amount, but did do a good job explaining it - with diagrams to try and sway me (I said no).
In the future, I’d consider going back, but would absolutely not buy anything unless I knew I could get a full tank of gas before driving home.”

“I had a great experience purchasing my car from Lavery’s, and especially want to mention Dave Sherman. He was a great salesman and made me feel like I was in good hands throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable about the car, answered all of my questions, and was never pushy or overly aggressive. He was genuinely a good guy and made sure I was happy with the car before moving forward. Even after I purchased the car, when I came back, he made sure to put some gas in it for me, which I really appreciated.
The dealership itself was also great. They had a nice selection of cars, and the purchasing process was very fast and smooth. I didn’t have to sit around for hours and hours waiting, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint would be that I think the detailing on the car could have been better. The interior and exterior were cleaned, but there were still some areas that could have used more attention.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend Lavery’s, especially Dave Sherman. I appreciate how easy and straightforward they made the car-buying process.”
