On Friday January 31st I went to the bank to deposit a check for the business I work for. I am a general manager for a hotel. Upon entering the bank I was told Someone would be right with me. Beverly was the teller who helped me or should I say tried to assist me. After giving her the check that was made out to the business I work for she looked at me and the check and immediately needed to call a manger. She called the manager who didn’t answer. I then had to wait for the manager to call back. While on the phone she told the manager to look at the account look at the date it was opened and to look at the name. She then proceeded to tell the manager she did not feel comfortable doing the transaction. She got off the phone then proceeded to write on the check my license number and information. She then told me she did not feel comfortable doing the transaction. I asked her why and she said she just didn’t feel comfortable doing it because my name wasn’t on the account and because it was a newly opened account. All o was doing was depositing a check from one company to another. I did not need to present my ID for this transaction. She was very unprofessional and after speaking to the company owner he no longer wants to do business with wesbanco.

Love the people that work at Shadyside. Don’t love the hours. There’s so reason a bank should close that early. Especially the drive thru closing at 4. Most people work 9-5s… make it make sense. Do I have to take a day off work just to be able to cash a check instead of waiting until I get off of work? Either close the place or fix the hours because it’s quite ridiculous. Start later so you don’t have to close as early if that’s the problem. Otherwise it’s pointless having a bank there.

The bank manager Pam help me get certified with the state of Ohio for a business account. My wife Mary and I am so thankful for her help. We are always met with a smile and kind words from all the tellers when making transaction. Ask a question and they find a true answer. Thankyou Shadyside Ohio Wesbanco.
