I said no for a recommendation because the whole reason I started using this brand of soap bars was because I love the planet and wanted to do my part in less plastic and not having to use chemical filled plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner. I also hoped that the condition of my hair would improve but it hasn’t. The soap leaves a waxy film on my hair that makes it impossible to brush and keep it brushed, it’s become unmanageable cause of the film and I can’t run my fingers through without pulled my own hair. I end up with a “rats nest” in my hair every time and it’s almost impossible to brush out. I end up wasting water by rinsing my hair longer and it doesn’t help the ending result. My hair still remains staticky and my split ends haven’t gotten better. The waxy film also coats my brush. I’ve given it a year, spent a couple hundred dollars and my hair still hasn’t adjusted. It’s not hair color friendly- I dyed my hair red and the soap made all the color come out. I do absolutely love the smells and I love getting the bars- I get excited to think that I’m doing something to help the planet we call home. I love the body soap and face soaps but the shampoo and conditioning bars unfortunately don’t do any good for my hair.

I used to like their soaps but they are too expensive for what they are and their use of the USPS for shipping means that my items took more than ten days to arrive. I also wasnt aware their location in Chagrin Falls (I guess it is their HQ) was not open to the public despite google saying it was. I drove 1800 miles from Texas to visit Chagrin and wanted to stop by this place. Would have been nice to know it wasnt open at all before driving over there. I now shop for soaps online at Herbaria or visit local handmade soap stores. Quality is just as good if not better and I dont have to wait an eternity for shipment.

you might think you feel clean after a shower. but you don't how much cleaner you can feel until you use these soaps. you will be squeaky clean after and start to wonder what kind of residue your other soaps were leaving behind
