EASY WAY TO LOSE A NEW CUSTOMER!!!!
I recently did some work on my car myself. I replaced both front lower ball joints. As a result of changing out suspension components I was shredding the inside of my old tires. I was getting ready for a road trip so I called this Midas and asked if they could help me get new tires and an alignment, they said sure. I brought my car in to the shop, re-stated that I was asking for tires and an alignment, but they couldn’t get the tires I wanted so I had to come back the next day. The next morning when I drop my car off they ask when I need my car back. I tell them I was assured the tires and alignment can be done by lunchtime. When I go back to pick up my car, I pay for the service done and I don’t see the alignment on the bill. I actually have a recommendation that they want to sell me an alignment. I asked if the alignment was done and I was told “Yes, looks like we didn’t charge you.” Thinking he was doing me a favor. I asked if I could get alignment data (basic information when you’re getting an alignment) and they said the computer was not communicating with the printer. At this point my suspicion has already begun and I ask a third time, “Are you sure they did an alignment?” I was reassured that yes, an alignment had been done. The next day I am changing the oil in my car for this road trip and I decided to check the alignment visually. Years ago, I used to work at a shop where we didn’t have an alignment machine and I learned how to adjust the toe, visually so that the car could be sent to a shop with a proper alignment machine (hopefully not this Midas) the toe alignment looked the same as before I got my new tires and now my suspicion has gotten worse. I call a different car shop, local to where I live and ask if they can get an alignment in before my road trip, which they did. When I go to pick up my car they show me the alignment data and how far out it was, there is no chance that Midas attempted an alignment. When Midas went to look for alignment data after I had asked, is when the lying began. Midas knew after going to the back for the data that the alignment had not been done and chose not to tell me for some reason. I can understand if there was a miscommunication, I can leave my car and come back. Midas was falsely confident that an alignment had been done then that false confidence moved on to blatant lying after I asked for alignment data. I paid over a $1100 for new tires and Midas cares more about being right than their customers. I was a car mechanic for a few years before I went to engineering school, false confidence and not being able to admit when you are wrong are bad habits, especially when you are in a position where customers have no choice but to trust you, like a car shop. I just want integrity and honesty, and I did not get it at this Midas.

Just ahead of this first winter storm 2019 Jesse & Kyle saved the day! My brakes locked up, I was scared out of my mind! I was met with assurance and exceptional service. Jesse offered me a hefty discount AND allowed me to pay next day, (UNBELIEVABLE, RIGHT)?!! Car repairs can be scary financially and oftentimes unpredictable. Thanks to these awesome people I am no longer worried and will definitely leave it up to them to keep my family on the road, and safe!

I can't say enough good things about the Midas in Solon. They fixed my 2020 Toyota Celica beyond my expectaions. When my usual repair shop wouldn't fix my muffler, actually said it was unsafe to be under it, Midas in Solon did not turn me away. It took a great deal of their time and effort just to locate a rear sub-frame and all the many pieces and parts needed to complet the job. They also fixed my brakes and replaced the exhaust system. They really should be 'Mufflers and so much more!' Jesse and his crew and the Manager really went to great lengths to fix my Celica and return it to me safe to drive for many more years. I cannot thank them enough for the thorough and consciencious job they did for me. I will take my car there for pretty much everything from now on! They have totally won me over. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. So - I totally, 100% recommend them for exhaust systems and so much MORE!

One of my most wonderful experiences. I had a 9am appointment on today 6-1-2024 that I made on yesterday. I got there at 8am and I left that place at 9:02. This Solon team is awesome. I'm so grateful for them. Thanks so much

I've gone to this particular location multiple times and always leave having a good experience. They're timely, honest, and operated by a nice staff. They've always been willing to bring me In and show me the issues with my vehicle and have even fixed someone else's mistakes. I'd definitely recommend them!

I have taken cars here for years for tires, brakes, oil, and other maintenance needs. I have never had a problem, everyone has always been friendly and helpful and trustworthy.
I made the mistake of going to discount tire a few months ago because it was a little closer, what a costly mistake. Never again.

I came in for an oil change, but they are so focused on getting more money out of me that they didn’t give me a new oil change sticker The print out states that I didn’t have an oil change sticker. My sticker was on the window, it’s still on the window. If you all are going to lie about whether or not I had an oil change sticker in my car I’m sure I don’t need all these repairs. Yes, I’m a woman but I know when I had a tune up.

THE BEST service ever! Run don’t walk to this Midas location. Have been coming here for 15 years for oil changes and any service work we have needed and have gotten to know the managers and service techs personally. They are the most honest, accommodating, knowledgeable guys I’ve ever come across in the auto care industry.
There have been multiple occasions when we have had an auto emergency and they always make time to see us. They are excellent listeners and thorough in their explanations of the car’s issues.
If they know of a less expensive way to take care of an issue they let us know. For example, we needed new lug nuts and Jesse let me know that if I ordered them through Amazon it would be half the cost than if he ordered them through Midas. He even showed me exactly what I needed on my Amazon account and all I had to do was hit “place order”.
The same deal with new tires- we ordered them ourselves and had them sent to Midas and then they put them on the car. I will never take our cars anyplace else for service work.

JESSE IS A SERVICE MANAGER YOU CAN TRUST. HAS NEVER TRIED TO OVER SELL ME OR FIX SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT NEED REPAIR. PROCES ARE FAIR. I RECOMMEND MIDAS IN SOLON.

Price was not as listed for a standard oil change was almost double the actual charge. Price discussed on the phone was also misleading. INstead of saying the actual numbers where dollar signs and stuff should be it was just listed as numbers. Intentionally being misleading. For example, instead of saying "Three hundred seventy nine dollars" ($379), it was being said as "its just three seven nine" ($3.79). That is WAY WAY WAY different. I had to ask and confirm the actual figure multiple times since it was still being walked around.
Staff was overall friendly, but definitely money greedy for sure. Watch out.
