I don't know why Google keeps wanting me to review this place. I've never been here. It seems like a cool destination.

We recently stayed in the Hemlock. When we arrived, we fell in love with the treehouse and aesthetic of the whole place, especially the string lights. This was after an amazing visit the previous year at the Maple treehouse. Unfortunately, this time we had a disappointing stay. It could have been so magical and peaceful, but it became very frustrating. When we booked this, we were looking forward to the 2 mornings we would have: Sitting in the hot tub, sipping coffee, and enjoying the peaceful quiet of the woods. We paid a lot of money to get that experience, and ultimately, didnt get it.The Keurig wasn't working and we were told no one was on site to look at it. We tried looking up how to fix it but it never worked correctly. Also, we found an issue with many of the supplies. The aluminum foil had only 1 inch left on the roll. The flashlight batteries were almost dead and it was very dim during use. All of the lighters for the fire/grill were nearly out of fluid. The biggest issues:The helicopter tree trimming was incredibly loud and constant throughout our multiple days. It was so loud that we could hear it inside the treehouse; and even more frustrating, was that the power would be out for hours at a time! No one contacted us about the power being out. Only after we messaged them was it addressed. We were told "The power should be back on around 530. That's when it came back on the other day." So it happened before and we weren't given a heads up (prior to or at arrival) that it could be happening again? I understand that the treehouse management had no control over this, but it does not change the fact that it was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating. This happened both of the days we were there. The first day was in the middle of cooking a large spread for breakfast. That ruined our whole morning. The next day, it started before 9am and woke us up. Then with the power being off for hours after that, our entire morning was thrown off, as well!I saw on social media that there was a new treehouse being built, which made me concerned about construction noise. I waited to see if I would be contacted about it as a heads-up, but when I wasn't, I reached out. I was told that the construction noise would not impact our stay whatsoever; unfortunately, that was wrong. On our second morning, still with no coffee, when the helicopter was gone, and we finally got our power back, we were sitting in the hot tub with peace and quiet for only a few minutes until we heard the construction noise start and men yelling to each other over the construction sounds. This was our last morning - our last opportunity for the peaceful moment I envisioned and looked forward to all year - and it was ruined. We were also very excited to use the outdoor shower. When we were about to step out to use it, a man in a yellow shirt (presumably a worker) appeared right outside our door. He walked around the exterior of the treehouse and appeared to be looking for any lights that needed replacing. However, if we had gone out to use the shower even a minute earlier, he would have seen us naked! That is unacceptable. We should have been notified if someone was going to be coming to our cabin while we were there. The focus of our entire stay should have been on us, since it was for a very special anniversary. But the focus soon became all about the helicopter sounds, the power outages, and the construction noise.

The treehouse is beautiful. Great setting. However, they're building two new treehouses on the hill above the Hemlock...about 200 feet away and they'll have a great view of this one below. The contractors worked until 6 pm on Friday and from 9-5 pm on Saturday. The construction noise was loud and constant. We were never notified of this prior to arrival, which is just wrong. The cleaning crew showed up around 9:45 for a 10:30 checkout on Sunday. If you're there to enjoy the fire pit, good luck. You get 12 pieces of wood before they start charging. Talk about nickel and diming you. No coffee mugs provided except for the ones they set up in the treehouse that are for sale for $20. Will NEVER recommend this property.

Renters beware ... The Hemlock Treehouse was breathtaking , however , they are building 2 more treehouses right next door, with hammering , drilling, constant electric sawing that begins at 9am and doesn't end until 6pm . We were hoping for a peaceful getaway in the woods and unfortunately we feel like we never left the city. Very disheartening for a pricy weekend wooded getaway :( We would not have come had management shared that construction would be taking place the ENTIRE weekend .

My family (husband and 2 teen boys) and I stayed 2 nights at White Oak. Not enough time! We just got back and I can't stop thinking about it. Would love to go back and stay at the Maple. This is by far the coolest and most serene place I have ever stayed.

My husband booked this trip in January as a surprise for my milestone birthday in August. Fast forward 5 months and he gets diagnosed with cancer and needs immediate treatment. He informs me of my surprise and I immediately call to inform that given the circumstances he will not be in any condition to travel for this trip as he had hoped and planned. We were given the option of choosing another time to come (if we could foresee the future to know that he wouldn’t have booked it in the first place). After saying we’d rather a refund given the medical expenses we’re about to incur I was told that we could only get a full refund 20 days after the initial booking. Even though when I placed this call it was more than two months in advance AND given that it’s still unavailable today seems like they had no issue rebooking it. I understand policies but there should also be compassion and with the many glamping/treehouse locations out there we will NEVER book at this establishment again when he gets better. Why worry about AI when there are already emotionless humans.

Absolutely spectacular. Three of us stayed at White Oak for a special birthday celebration for two nights. Everything was impeccably clean, organized and beautiful. The AC was a welcomed relief after a hot day, the hot tub was delicious for a late night soak and the fire pit was meticulously prepared for our arrival. Tiffany even prepared the treehouse with birthday decorations, gifts and cake for our arrival, which exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere of the treehouses is like a fairyland, so quite and peaceful yet centrally located for easy access to all the site. We could not have been more pleased with our visit. Highly recommend!

Me and my tween daughters had an amazing time here and would love to return!! The hot tub was so hot though that we had to let it cool down a bit. The fire pit was easy to use. The beds were comfortable! The tv for Netflix was too slow so we watched on our iPad. The people managing the property were very helpful and communicative. We were welcomed with a customized sign with our names and a s’mores kit! They left water for us too!! This place was so quiet and serene! Loved it so much!!

Absolutely beautiful!! This was our honeymoon and it was wonderful! Great location, private, comfortable!Only negative was that we didn’t have any instructions for the jacuzzi and it had a very loud cleaning cycle during the middle of the night.

What’s not to love/adore with this place. The service was great, they’re so welcoming - so many thoughtful touches. It’s not your average experience it’s one that will elevate your entire trip. We stayed in the Beech, myself and my husband were enchanted the moment we drove up. Enjoy everything this place has to offer, you won’t regret it. We were sad to see our trip come to and end and look forward to our next visit.

Pricy. Especially when you realize it's not as secluded as it's made to look online. But damn. Everything else is great. The views can be amazing. The smell will take you out of the city real quick. At least this time of year. Probably impossible for people without 4x4 to stay during the winter with some of these steep hills. We'll probably be coming back next year or the year after.
