Beware of Tiffany the Pharmacist.
wanted to make other patients aware of her retaliation against me for advocating after three trips where I was told a medication was ready by text and I get there and techs are confused bc system shows it was canceled. I ask to speak to her she says no to come after 2 pm tomorrow. After three attempts I insisted to speak to her and 1st thing she said to me, this isn’t a candy shop. As if cystinuria medicine is candy and as if I don’t have texts saying it is ready she just ignores gives dirty look and waddles away. It was sent in 5 days prior! What she was doing was canceling the script but not communicating it to me or staff so I just kept coming since I received a text it was ready. I’m assuming they were out or too busy but instead it was some sort of personality disorder she has or some sort of discrimination. There are few medicines I am prescribed. A generic anti depressant, and then a suite of medications that pertain to a kidney disease I have that is lifelong since childhood and a genetic condition name cystinuria. It is an auto recessive disorder where I am missing an enzyme everyone else has so my body can not break down cystine which turns to stone in my system. I pass non stop kidney stones that are not controlled by diet or medications other than keeping my body as alkaline as possible and taking potassium citrate and hydration.over the years have had 20 plus surgeries on my kidneys starting at 8 years old now 43. Due to this very painful condition my urologist and nephrologist prescribed me traditional pain meds but I have found many people who are not specialists, mid management or young uneducated inexperienced have stigma against this medicine. they don’t understand it is very easy to treat people with pain while blocking ppl who are illegal drug users. The issue is there are only a few medications that treat pain but also help people who have been prescribed long term opiates to not need them. I was prescribed 5mg of percosets 30 a month for years from 25-32 years of age then it went up to 10 mg then 20 mg.Finally those low doses weren’t working anymore and I was hired and working for a company in Montreal and I was a patient of Montreal Jewish the massive hospital in Quebec. Their approach to treating pain started w/morphine.But I got a new dr during Covid lock downs and he told me about suboxone and he explained that it works against pain very affectively treating my cystinura and providing a solution to not needing opiate based pain meds. He explained I had become physically dependent but due to this condition being lifelong I do have a legitimate need to treat pain. With cystinura maybe 12-18 days of the month are bad and maybe 8 days are REALLY bad. Patient can’t take pain meds half of the days long term and not need them on all days bc you feel sick and horrible your body aches your blood pressure goes sky high. So he explained how suboxone treats pain, doesn’t have the ups and downs or euphoria. In any regard I tried suboxone and it worked. It was both able to make me have zero cravings for opiate based medication and it also took away 70% of the pain. This has been working with no issue for years until I met Tiffany who as I have now discovered was canceling the order and not saying anything. In October it took 4 trips and er visit, a canceled trip to LA and a combined cost in Ubers and hours dealing with this of 200 dollars and 12 hours on phones trying to figure it out.She also would not fill a cold sore medicine bc she said I didn’t need it. I told her I am from Canada and I pay out of pocket and I want to have it in stock. She says a non narcotic medication she won’t fill for four more days. But this isn’t a law and I pay cash.Beware of Tiffany; she also wrote a whole notebook in the notes about me. The other location said her store has a very bad reputation and they are notorious. They hear horror stories often. So not only was she horrible to me she also tried to sabotage me at the next location which I have had zero issues.

This pharmacy refuses to fill my prescription, due to out of pocket costs and they deem it is too much for me to pay. I have now been trying to get this prescription from the pharmacy for 2 months and keep explaining that I have a coupon from the manufacturer that brings the cost down. And we try again every few weeks and explain the same thing. And here we are again without the prescription. I will be avoiding at all costs in the future.

Very well lit parking lot, local police on the premises, full service pharmacy and state liquor store. Plus the wine section is very well stocked with various types and flavors

Poor food quality for an expensive price. Items unavailable for purchase. Customer service is inexistant. No modern conveniences. Giant Eagle stores are stuck in time. Pass your way.

We stopped in to grab some necessities before we went to a friends house. The store layout was pretty easy to navigate and we found what we needed. The cashier hooked us up with a courtesy card when we said we were from out of town but wanted to get a deal on one of the items we were purchasing. They charge 10 cents per bag so we opted to just carry out our items and use some reusable bags we had in the car. Overall a run of the mill grocery spot.

Extremely rude, unhelpful service. Husband attempting to pick up my prescriptions for third time, had him waiting & waiting for pharmacist, then shockingly rude. You don’t know what someone is going through. I have multiple health conditions, & I’ve been suffering moderately severe depression for more than 6 months. There is no need for a pharmacy to make sick people feel worse just trying to get their pills, and during a pandemic. I don’t care if you’re stressed or tired. So are we. So had to leave my voice.

I love this pharmacy. The staff is helpful and friendly. They know my name and who I’m picking up for. The ask about the well being of my mother, whom they’ve never met, that’s kind and caring. Keep up the great job ?

I've utilized Giant Eagle Pharmacy in multiple stores and this is by far the worst location and service. They are rude and unhelpful.

Poor service, and lack of management! Deli closed at a ridiculous hour today. 6: 00PM. The store hours listed a closing of 10:00 PM..
