Went here to have my mothers screens replaced for windows. The guy that does the work stated each window is $30 for labor and plus cost of materials. I’m in disbelief!! Highway robbery!! I took all 3 screens back to Columbus and the cost for all 3 screens were $38.50. What’s wrong with all 3 hardware stores there in Springfield, Ohio. They all charge this rediculous labor charge!! Brain Lumber, and Rocky’s hardware you should be ashamed. I hope other patrons see this review and take their screen replacement work to another city!!

Stopped in for the first time to look at their hardwood selection. The gentleman dropped everything, walked me over to the hardwoods and talked to me like old friends. Super nice guy, bought a beautiful walnut board to make an inn table. Definitely will ship here a lot more! Stop in and see them, you'll be happy you did.

I have had very good experiences here. They carry a lot of materials that the big box stores don't carry.
And they actually have employees that know something about what they carry in store.
I would highly recommending this local business the owner is a great guy.

I needed to replace my storm door that got damaged in high winds. Brain Lumber is run by some great guys and they had a Larson door in stock that was exactly what I needed.

Customer service was good, but prices are crazy! They take the same bundle from home depot and double the price! Not saying this isn’t a good place for other things but I’d definitely shop around before purchasing something.

Nice to find an independent lumber yard and hardware. They gave a solid inventory. I will make the drive from now on. They have what I would need and do it old school. They are an icon in Springfield.
