Don't bother going here if they're close to closing because they will close early and stare at you from the other side of the door

Only after I left did I think that I should've taken a picture, but, it's a bank, so, I'm sure they have video of the lobby and can see that what I say about being the only customer in the bank is true. Recently hacked, I went into the branch needing to close my account and open another one. Upon arrival, I was the 2nd customer in line, and 1 customer was at the counter with a teller, as another teller was putting her drawer together. The way it's set up, we were standing right outside the doors of the two bankers who were working. In one office, the left office if you're facing them, the banker and the manager spoke about lots of stuff, some business related, then, about how many pairs of dress pants she had. The door was wide open, so, it wasn't hard to hear, and it's a fairly small space. Then, the other banker was in her office - door closed, scrolling her phone. She may have been on lunch, and I have no problem with that...The manager exited the other banker's office, walked past us, no greeting of any kind, again, small space, and he's a sizable guy, so, he's navigating past customers, and not speaking at all. The other customer that was in front of me finished up his business and the teller says, "Oh, that was easy, I can take that any day!". My turn, I walk up, and to be relatable/break the ice, I say, "I'm sorry, mine isn't going to be so easy, but, I'll try to make it as easy as possible!" (with a smile!) Wide flat eyed smile from her. Ok. So, I proceed to tell her that my Acct is locked, I live in North Carolina now, and am in town for a visit and and customer care said I need to come into a branch to close my Acct & open a new one. She says, "I can close your Acct today, but, I don't have a banker available to open a new one." Hmm...I'm the only customer in the bank at this point (with my husband), and the manager is in his office, and the other 2 bankers are scrolling their phones. I tell reiterate that I don't live in OH anymore, I've moved to North Carolina, and I'm only here through the weekend. She tells me that she would send me to another Springfield location (North St already told me they had no availability either - a different review), but, she said, other Springfield branches were calling them so she knows that they don't have anyone. She could try Beavercreek or Huber Heights for me and "I can understand your inconvenience, but I can't just make availability." (she actually said that to me). Umm. What?! I had to just walk away, past 3 bankers sitting in their offices. Unreal. Again, no other customer in the bank by this time. Customer care advised that this should not have happened, that because of the high priority of my situation, someone should have helped me. I could easily bank with an option that is everywhere, and this level of customer service, or the lack thereof, definitely had me considering those options. I was able to get in at a Dublin, OH location for the next day - see that review for a stellar customer service review. Do better Huntington Bank, Bechtle Rd. You aren't doing favors for customers because you came to work. Absolutely unreal experience on Thursday, September 7th. What could she have done? She could have stepped away from her drawer, or called the scrolling bankers, and told them what was happening, and asked if they would be able to help. That's what I would've done, and have done, when I've been met with customers in unusual situations. Take the customer service to another level.Had she done that, I would have felt like I'd gotten some customer service.

I am closing my account(s), card(s) and will never give them my service or recommendation! The staff is polite, but the bank itself is crooked and sneaky. I have lost too much money and endured too many negative marks on my credit score, due to them and not myself. I have no issue paying on time, keeping my accounts in the positive or keeping my credit lines below the max out line, yet somehow they have managed multiple times, to drop my credit line (by $1,000's) unprovoked and without warning, causing me to over charge with interest alone. Fraudulently process accidental "double payments" in the thousands dollar mark, causing overdrafts, leaving me responsible for the fees and allowing automatic payments after cancellations and disputes. I am so frustrated with the way this business is handled! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!

I will be closing my account. If you overdraft you account at all, they will take multiple 36$ fees from you, and they won’t be refunded. I just got out of the hospital with Covid, I had previously had a fee waiver done for the same reason. I didn’t realize I had opted in to overdrafts, so it was a shock that when I got paid my account was still in the negatives. I called, they won’t refund any without me making a deposit, and then they will only refund 2.

During COVID pandemic and I'm healthcare worker, I got denied banking services by appointment. They think that I'm a COVID spreader or something. I'm only allowed to go there by going through drive thru.My drive thru experience with this Huntington bank is meh. They did a good job but kinda bit embarrassing that they used a megaphone to say all the actions that they have taken like deposit/transfer this amount to my bank account. So loud that other people can hear it. No privacy at all.
